🌟𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬🎗️ In December, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for Manifest Veterans Village in Tampa, a community of tiny homes designed by Beck, especially for veterans >> The initiative is a testament to what’s possible when thoughtful design meets a powerful mission. Beyond the physical structures, it represents safety, community, and hope for those who have given so much. We are proud to have collaborated with our client, MANIFESTATIONS WORLDWIDE INC, and to see the impact firsthand. Thank you to every incredible partner and the community for supporting this vision. 🔗 Check out the news coverage in the comments! #Architecture #Design #BuildingBetterCommunities #VeteransHousing #Tampa #Florida

The National 9/11 Memorial in New York City, designed by Michael Arad of Handel Architects, has been recognized as the most significant building of 2011. This memorial features two granite-lined reflecting pools marking the footprints of the former World Trade Center towers, symbolizing loss, remembrance, and healing. It embodies the architecture of absence, serving as a poignant reminder of a tragedy that reshaped the nation. As someone deeply involved in architecture and design, I've often reflected on the power of such spaces in shaping collective memory. The National 9/11 Memorial doesn't just stand as a monument; it invites us to engage in reflection and dialogue about resilience and the human experience in the face of loss. What are your thoughts on memorial architecture? How do you feel spaces like this contribute to a community's healing process? Data indicates that well-designed memorials can significantly impact collective grief, reaffirming their importance in our urban landscape. Let’s keep the conversation going! Wandering in Virginia, Minnesota, I saw this really old building, and there was a little building up on top of it that I have no idea what it was used for. #OldArchitecture #HistoricBuildings #VintageStructures #AncientArchitecture #ClassicBuildings #ArchitecturalHeritage #TimelessDesign #HistoricLandmarks #ArchitecturalWonders #AntiqueBuildings

### Embracing the Past, Building the Future Childhood memories are a treasure, particularly when you realize the importance of taking responsibility for your time. While challenging traditions may seem like sacrilege, it is often a reflection of one's upbringing and values. The beauty of architectural representation lies in its ability to support and enhance the environment it was designed for. An architect must skillfully appeal to common sense to understand the profession's resilience. Reflecting on Stanley Tigerman’s "Titanic" collage, it’s clear that honoring your own history by integrating the past into the present fosters inclusivity and broadens perspectives for the greater good. This blend of history and modernity not only enriches our understanding but also brings joy and a sense of belonging. By embracing our past and making it part of our narrative, we create a vibrant and resilient future. This inclusive approach allows us to appreciate the wisdom of our heritage while confidently navigating the ever-evolving landscape of life and architecture. It’s a celebration of continuity, creativity, and community, ensuring that the lessons and beauty of yesterday enhance the promises of tomorrow. #Architecture #Heritage #StanleyTigerman #TitanicCollage #Inclusivity #ModernDesign #Community #PastAndPresent #BuildingTheFuture #ChildhoodMemories #ArchitecturalResilience

When a leader celebrates his people, even as they leave the organization, it... - Reinforces a company culture where employees feel appreciated - Builds the company's employer brand, because if they treat people so well when they're leaving, imagine how they treat the people who don't - Raises employees' standards, so that when they look for new jobs, they look for employers who treat their people well - Serves notice to other employers about how people should be treated, raising the bar - Gets attention for the company, because so few leaders/companies do this Incidentally, I'd love to feature CEOs other than Jason McCann, but he's featuring prominently in my LinkedIn feed these days. If you know of any executives, founders or entrepreneurs who set a similar example, please let me know!

In the realm of design and problem-solving, few voices resonate as profoundly as that of R. Buckminster Fuller. Fridays Inspirational Quote: “When working on a problem, I never think about beauty; I think only of how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know that it is wrong.” ― R. Buckminster Fuller This powerful statement encapsulates Fuller's philosophy, highlighting the unexpected harmony between practicality and elegance in truly effective solutions. This article outlines the predictions of some visionary professional builders in the US on how innovative architecture and evolving social dynamics will redefine homebuilding over the next 20 years. Many of the builders surveyed predicted that the homes of the future will be more open and connected to community and intergenerational living and that the shift in today’s homes towards shared spaces that promote connection among neighbors will only continue to grow. One builder stated that “In the future, I think that our cities will become denser while offering new typologies of common space,”.
