Great meeting yesterday with the FA and Nike to debrief and discuss the findings from our research to help amplify the impact of their "Stepping Over the Sidelines" programme to get more women into coaching grassroots football. It's been super inspiring digging into women's journeys into coaching as part of this and see such positive momentum towards creating equal opportunities for women and girls in clubs up and down the country. Thanks Philip Belsey, Sam Walker, Heta Fell, Charlotte Reader, Bex Garlick, Sharon Lordon and co for the chance to work together on such a fantastic project. We're excited to see you take the ideas we discussed forward.

The harsh reality of women in sport is just how much more needs to be done to achieve true equality. 🤝 Of course this is an incredible & historic milestone in Formula 1 as Laura Müller has become the first female engineer in the sport’s 75-year history. This should be a moment to celebrate progress and acknowledge those breaking barriers, but it is also a reminder of the work left to do. 🚀 Representation matters & hope inspires action. At The Sportess, our mission is simple: to ensure kids grow up seeing women actively engaging in sport—whether they’re playing, working in the industry, or simply enjoying it as fans. 🎯 There’s so much room for everyone, and no “right” way to enjoy or participate in sport. The more visible women are, the more we can challenge harmful stereotypes like: 👉 “My body has to look a certain way.” 👉 “I’m afraid to fail.” 👉 “I don’t see anyone else doing this, so why should I?” 💪 Enough is enough. We believe that when kids subconsciously see women of all backgrounds, body types, and identities thriving in sport—whether as players, educators, or professionals—we can reshape the narrative for the next generation (without them feeling forced into it) ⚡ We're breaking the barriers to make sport a space for everyone, in a language the next gen understand. So let’s continue striving for a future where milestones like these are no longer rare. Congratulations, Laura & good luck! Here’s to paving the way for others to follow. #womeninsport #womenssport #f1

https://lnkd.in/gaQPBx5T We are conquering what was once denied to us, not competing with men. As women in fields traditionally dominated by men—whether in tech, engineering, finance, or leadership—our mission is not to compete for space, but to redefine the standards of inclusion and innovation. Our focus is on designing systems that work for everyone, fostering environments that celebrate diversity as a catalyst for creativity and progress. We aren’t here to measure success by outdated benchmarks. Instead, we’re building new frameworks that drive both equity and excellence. The barriers we break today will lay the groundwork for future generations of innovators and leaders, creating a world where opportunities are not dictated by gender, but by talent and vision. To all the trailblazing women in technology, business, and leadership—keep pushing boundaries. The future we create will be the one we once only imagined. #WomenInTech #Leadership #Innovation #EquityInAction #DiversityAndInclusion

Will New Balance surpass Nike..? The #WNBA plays a crucial role in promoting gender equality and empowering female athletes while being highly entertaining and competitive. With 36 million unique viewers across all national networks, in 2023 the WNBA brought in more than $200 million in revenue, a 200% increase from the year before. That is why we were super excited to learn that one of our long-time customers, #NewBalance, has partnered with the WNBA for a multiyear deal, joining a growing roster of backers for women’s sports. Not only that, they’ve signed an exclusive deal with one of the WNBA’s most promising stars, Cameron Brink, which is a slam dunk 😉 Successfully collaborating with New Balance on their marketplace and dropship automation, for sales channels like ASOS, we've witnessed their strategic growth trajectory, first-hand: Boosting their sales by 23% from 2022 to 2023, New Balance is demonstrating diversity and agility, expanding their footprint (pun intended…) in several new sports - like tennis and baseball, and now, basketball, alongside others like #Nike, #Adidas, #UnderArmour, and #Puma. Will this exciting business strategy prove itself? Let us know after reading the full story in the first comment. And if you’d like to take the technological, operational, and financial headache out of selling your products on multiple digital channels, let’s talk: https://bit.ly/3ylIYXf

🌟 Empowering Women: Flipping the Script! 🌟 For centuries, women have been unfairly labeled with words like "crazy," "aggressive," "bossy," and "emotional." But it's time to challenge these stereotypes and rewrite the narrative! And quoting Shelley Zalis post today, I believe it´s time to flip the script! Crazy ➡️ Courageous Aggressive ➡️ Assertive Bossy ➡️ Confident Emotional ➡️ Passionate Let's embrace our courage and show that being labeled as "crazy" simply means we have the strength to face challenges head-on. And when someone calls us "aggressive," let's remember that it might just be because we confidently said "no" when it was necessary. Moreover, being emotional doesn't make us weak; it showcases our deep passion and commitment to what we believe in. Have you ever been told you're "aggressive" or "too emotional"? I did! It's time to flip the script and reclaim these labels. Embrace your courage, assertiveness, confidence, and passion! Together, let's challenge the status quo and create a world where women are celebrated for their unique strengths and contributions. 💪 #EmpoweringWomen #FlipTheScript #ChallengeStereotypes #CelebrateStrengths

Sport is a driving force in entertainment, culture, business, technology and more. Research shows that 96% of CEOs have played sports, which is no surprise given that athletic participation builds confidence, instills the power of teamwork, and sets individuals up for success. The last decade has seen increased popularity of female sporting events and a greater awareness of pay equity for women in sports. Yet, data shows that there is an alarming number of girls quitting sports due to low body confidence. Watch live from the #EqualityLounge at #SXSW as we explore the relevant media and cultural influences impacting efforts to level the playing field for girls and women in sports - from grassroots, to collegiate to professional athletes. • Lisa Rosenberg, Global Partner + President, Consumer Brands, Allison Worldwide • Kate Veronneau, Director, Women's Strategy, Zwift • Christy Keswick, Co-Founder & President, Good Sports, Inc. • Li Li Leung, President and CEO, USA Gymnastics • Gabrielle Reece, Athlete, Podcast Host and Founder, Laird Superfood, Laird Apparel and XPT
