The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai has announced the introduction of a Learner’s Passport for every newborn. This initiative aims to track educational journeys and help parents make informed decisions, part of the 'Education Strategy 2033' in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority. KHDA Director-General Aisha Miran stated the passport will ensure every child's right to education by registering children of mandatory school age and monitoring their enrollment. The system will take immediate action for those not enrolled, preventing educational deprivation. With Emirati children's enrollment in early childhood centers below the global average, the passport will provide essential information on educational options, recognizing the importance of early education for brain development. To implement the strategy, KHDA will focus on raising parent awareness, enhancing teacher skills, and providing diverse educational paths while promoting Arabic language skills. Addressing rising school fees is also a priority. Miran emphasized the importance of collaboration with parents, noting significant growth in Dubai's educational system since 2005. The aim is to improve educational quality for the city’s diverse community. #DubaiEducation #LearnersPassport #EducationStrategy2033 #KHDA #ChildDevelopment

In the sixth year of celebrating the "International Day of Education," our focus aligns with the theme of 'learning for lasting peace.' This year, our celebrations revolve around a high-level dialogue on learning for lasting peace and the essence of "Learning to take care of oneself, others, and the planet."🤍 In a world witnessing an increase in violent conflicts, it's critical to emphasize the importance of fostering a strong commitment to peace. This dedication is rooted in education, a fundamental cornerstone underscored by UNESCO's principles of "Education for Peace, Human Rights, and Sustainable Development." By recognizing that violence transcends geographical, gender, racial, religious, political, and digital boundaries, we acknowledge that education must be transformative. It should empower learners with knowledge, values, attitudes, and skills to become agents of peace within their communities. In the words of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, "When we talk about education, we don't only mean your time in school. Education is a collective pursuit that requires the efforts of families, parents, society, and our countries' institutions. We take pride in each one of you, proud of the individuals you will become and the accomplishments you will achieve."🤍 As we commemorate this International Day of Education, let us renew our commitment to learning for lasting peace, fostering a world where education becomes a powerful force for positive transformation and a beacon of hope for a harmonious future. 📚📝 #linkedincommunity #unesco #uae #community #education
