If you’re selling on Amazon and have not yet started using Amazon Advertising tools - You’re missing out. Firstly, you need to know about the main three categories of Amazon Ads. 1. Sponsored Products. These are ads for individual product listings that appear in search results and on product pages. You bid on keywords relevant to your product, and your ad appears when shoppers search for those terms. This follows a pay-per-click model (you only pay when someone clicks on your ad) and can drastically increase your product’s visibility. 2. Sponsored Brands. These are ads that showcase your brand logo, a custom headline, and multiple products. They appear at the top of search results. Very similar to Sponsored Products, but here you bid on keywords for your brand, not just individual products. This feature lets you cross-sell multiple products, multiplying your brand’s awareness. 3. Sponsored Display. These are ads that appear on and off Amazon, targeting shoppers who have viewed your products or similar products. A more customized approach, here you can target specific products or audiences based on interests or shopping behavior. A great tool to retarget potential and past customers. 4. Sponsored Display Product Targeting This lesser-known gem lets you target specific product listings, even your competitors'. You can show your ads to shoppers who are actively considering similar products. Effectively capturing them when they are already in the buying mindset. 5. Amazon DSP (Demand-Side Platform) A more advanced advertising option that allows advertisers to programmatically buy display and video ads both on and off Amazon. It's typically used by larger brands and agencies with more sophisticated advertising needs and budgets. 6. Audio Ads These are relatively new to Amazon Advertising and allow brands to reach customers through audio ads on Amazon Music's free ad-supported tier. This format is ideal for brands looking to build brand awareness and reach a wider audience. The tools above can help get your products seen by more shoppers, track your ad performance and reach the right customers at the right time. But Amazon's advertising options are constantly evolving, so it's important to stay up-to-date with the latest developments. They frequently introduce new ad formats and targeting options.
