Over the past year, we’ve reached audiences in London and nationwide with a fantastic programme of exhibitions including Fantasy: Realms of Imagination, Malorie Blackman, Beyond the Bassline: 500 years of Black British Music and Medieval Women: In Their Own Words. Our collection was at the heart of it all, sparking curiosity and engagement. We inspired learners of all ages with our onsite and online events, workshops and resources. And we supported the next generation of entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts though our Business & IP Centre. We couldn’t have done it without our sponsors, partners and Business Members including Bloomberg Philanthropies, J.P. Morgan, RELX, Wayland Games Ltd., The Doyle Collection, G-Shock and Miele. #BritishLibrary #Library #Sponsorship #Partnership #BusinessMembership

I know many of you in my community are leaders of business, community, or Not-For-Profit organizations. At some point, you will be asked to sponsor an event or be trying to generate sponsorship funding. My friend Brent Barootes wrote a post yesterday about the importance of forming genuine relationships deeper than just engaging potential partners in golf games, dinners, salmon fishing, plays, trips or other events. The thoughtful post offers tips for anyone building business or community relationships. https://rb.gy/ykxec1

David Vélez is one of my favorite entrepreneurs, and thanks to the Fundraising School with Laura Gaviria Halaby and ◽️Andres Bilbao as hosts, key topics about entrepreneurship were discussed. Here are some of my insights from this interview: 1. #Success is not solely about making money but also about living the journey and learning from your errors. 2. #Startupculture should be established within the first 6 months of operations. 3. When raising capital, #keymetrics presented to potential investors should reflect the firm's projected results for the next 18 months. 4. Choose your investors as you choose your #team; you don't want to have troublesome individuals in your team. Don't miss this insightful #interview and let me know your comments about it!
