Beauty is not just the way you look, it's the way you see. It's not just how something feels, it's what it's made of, how it's made, and it's impact on others and our world. This is why - for 10 years or more - I used the words "look, see, feel, be: love" and "look, see, feel, be: beautiful" in our Y natural communications. Maybe we should start using them again, to help those around us recognise more kinds of beauty, and to think more deeply about what it really means to be beautiful. Thanks, Pink. You're brilliant. It’s a valuable lesson for our children. It’s hard to ignore what others say about you … but to the people who matter, those that know you, the opinions of others don’t matter. They know who you are and what you stand for. And it’s their support, friendship and love that sustains you. In the social media circus where our children have ringside seats, we need to remind them every day that sometimes the lights will shine on them and sometimes it will shine on others… but wherever it shines, be strong … and be kind.
