On this Teacher’s Day, I’m reflecting on the lessons from my first and greatest teacher – my mom. Even though both her sons are far away and busy with work, she still finds ways to teach me from a distance. As a retired teacher, her classroom days may be behind her, but her wisdom hasn’t retired. In the midst of everyday business tussles, when stress seems to take over and I sometimes forget to even smile, she always reminds me to pause, breathe, and take things slowly. Her words of calm and reassurance bring me back to what really matters. It’s funny how even now, she’s still teaching me how to navigate life with patience and grace.
