Wine Decanting – Why it Matters. Wine decanting in a restaurant is essential for several reasons. It allows the wine to breathe, enhancing its aromas and flavors for a better drinking experience. Decanting also removes sediment, ensuring a clean glass of wine. Additionally, decanting adds a visual element, showcasing the restaurant's attention to presentation. It also helps to control the wine's temperature, optimizing flavors and aromas, ultimately improving the overall wine service experience for customers. Overall, wine decanting is an important step in serving wine in a restaurant as it helps to improve the overall drinking experience for customers and showcases the care and attention to detail that the restaurant puts into their wine service. #TriMarkUnitedEast #TriMarkShowcaseVideos

3 common mistakes when ordering wine The wine lists at all restaurants can be overwhelming, but even more so at fancier, more expensive restaurants! But I have a few key tips to ease your anxiety and help you order the perfect wine every time. 1️⃣ Use your sommelier’s expertise: if the restaurant you are ordering from has a sommelier, then you are in for a treat, as they typically know the history of the wines and wineries on their list. So, never be afraid to ask for help! 2️⃣ Focusing Only on Price: a lot of us, maybe not to seem cheap, order the second-cheapest bottle — a mistake. 3️⃣ Try pairing with your main course: When you’re looking over the wine list, try to consider your main course and how the wine will enhance your meal. Avoid these common mistakes and elevate your dining experience. Have you made any of these mistakes? Share in the comments and follow me for more wine tips. 💡How do you work with restaurants post-sale to ensure your wines are well integrated into their menus and promoted effectively? 👨💻Just created custom table tents to support wines featured at a restaurant's wine dinner last week. How to order wine at a restaurant Ordering wine at a restaurant can be a daunting task for some people, but it can be a fun and enjoyable experience. Here are some steps you can follow to order wine at a restaurant: 1️⃣ Don't let the price tag deter you. Focus on the wine's characteristics and how it complements your food, rather than its cost. 2️⃣ Select wines that pairs with a variety of dishes if you're dining with a group, enhancing the overall dining experience. 3️⃣Remember, it's about the experience and discovery, not the perfection of your pronunciation. Additional tip: At restaurants with quality wine service, they may present the bottle and pour a small taste for your approval, take a sip to ensure the wine isn't flawed, simply nod and approve if it's to your liking. If not, it's perfectly acceptable to request a different recommendation. What are some of the wines you like to order at a restaurant, let me know in the comments below. I’d love to know!
