In a recent audit, San Jose's Housing Department revealed a staggering lack of accountability, with over $300 million in homelessness spending untracked. This alarming situation highlights the urgent need for transparency in nonprofit operations that receive public funds. As cities increasingly rely on nonprofits for essential services, it’s crucial to ensure that these organizations are held accountable for their spending and performance. With cities like San Francisco leading the charge for better oversight, it’s time for San Jose to follow suit. Let’s advocate for a registry that holds nonprofits accountable and ensures taxpayer money is used effectively. Together, we can make a difference in our community!🌆💰📊 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gpyiDnmb #NonprofitAccountability #Homelessness #SanJose
