That picture is me and a lot of other writers’ assistants when it’s time to room up! I learned a lot from my showrunners and room, and now I’m focused on getting staffed myself. Which means: “new writing sample.”
You know how when you're knee-deep in the writing process, and you click around for research, and before you know it you have 10, 20, 50 tabs open. How did that happen? And "which was the tab that said the thing that I need to write now for this exact scene?"
Or how we all were taught to storyboard with index cards, sticky notes, multiple documents with the acts charted out, 5 different outlines...
So, for me, the great news: Korgi.
When I’m researching, I can chat with AI right on my board. I can attach links to specific cards on my board and they stay connected to that thought. It's like bookmarking but better because I don't have to go hunting anymore. (I use the Chrome Extension and just shoot web links back to my board.)
Now I am less manic when I write. I do not have a hundred tabs open. I don't lose drafts in my many folders. And I don't do flashcards anymore. Ever. I just use Korgi.
And if that wasn't enough to make me happy to open my board every morning, I can create a file (like a Google Doc for research) right from a card, and Korgi saves it *inside* the card, like a drawer. And those files live in my own Google drive. And when I’m done with my story work, I can export it right into a Google Doc as a beat sheet or outline so I can go to script.
I love Korgi because it combines my favorite things of the old-fashion cork board with the new age, bring-us-to-the-future, digital world. I can color code, drag and drop, I can storyboard AND slate my tasks for the day all from the same place. I do not click around or lose files, or drive myself mad looking at too many sticky notes all day.
I don’t use it just for writing either. Yes, I can storyboard, but I also can make to-do lists, calendar meetings and tasks, customize how it looks, and store everything to one board. One place! This is why I am a Korgi convert now.
I wanted to use Korgi for a month before I wrote anything, and this is it. There’s a free trial, no card required. I hope we see you at korgiboard.com.
The good news is: writers' rooms are open again!
The bad news is: this is what the board looks like.

Wow, the details and the strategy moving forward everything defined so perfectly, i hope TCP comes out from its negative return on capital invested in the future
