Did you know... - In the first video of my women's history month myth-busting series, I look at the myth of how far we've come and how long women have had equality (so can't we just stop talking about it and move on?). Because guess what women in *Switzerland* couldn't do until 1971? Or women in the *US* couldn't do until 1974? You'll have to watch to find out: https://lnkd.in/eAZaiakS

Each year for Women of Influence, we pick a word or phrase and we ground our work in that theme. For 2024, our theme is "All of us." Because the work of eliminating racism and empowering women truly takes all of us. #onamission https://lnkd.in/gi_Gr7rX

👷♀️Women in Construction Week👷♀️celebrates the contributions and achievements of women in the construction industry, highlighting their vital roles in shaping infrastructure and communities. 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: The history of Women in Construction Week is intertwined with the origins of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Founded in 1953 as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, by 16 women in the industry, it aimed to support women in construction. Evolving into NAWIC, the association now boasts 115 chapters nationwide, offering education, support, and networking opportunities for women in construction. Women in Construction Week, established in 1960, celebrates the contributions of women in the field and promotes awareness and inclusivity. I always get asked this question What made you create Agency Connection? My answer is always the same When I wanted to become a panel member Found no agency to help Eventually found my way I hardly met Black panel members Yet, Black children are over-represented in the care Others would ask how I did it I realised there was no clear path to panel roles So I created Agency Connection To make it easy for others to follow Ensure Black children and young people are represented One thing I realised is this Representation doesn’t always come pre-made So you become the change you want to see. As we celebrate International Women's Day Remember lasting change in equality, representation, and empowerment is a daily commitment and not one day a year gig. Thank you Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce for the feature #AdoptionAndFostering #IWD2024 #InspireInclusion #AgencyConnection #DEI #FosteringPanel #AdoptionPanel ❓What change do you want to see on your journey? Let me know in the comments. 🤍💛💙

March, Women's History Month, is a time to celebrate and honor the contributions and achievements of women throughout history. It is a reminder of the importance of recognizing and highlighting the accomplishments of women in various fields such as science, politics, arts, and more. This month serves as a platform to raise awareness about the challenges women have faced and continue to face, while also celebrating their resilience and strength. Let us take this opportunity to reflect on the achievements of women past and present, and to continue working towards a more inclusive and equal society for all. https://buff.ly/39eK4lQ #backboneplanningpartners #financialplanning #smallbusinessowners #business #smallbusinessadvice #tycoonsofsmallbiz #smallbusinessowner #smallbusiness #smallbusinesstips #tycoonsofsmallbizpodcast #womenshistorymonth
