Welcome to the One Hundred & Forty-Second Edition of The Chronicles of Podcast! There is no interview this week, it’s just Tom and Jamie bringing you their signature blend of humour, randomness, and insightful discussion. We kick off with a heartfelt tribute to the legendary James Earl Jones, before diving into Tom's burning question: Is McDonald's Monopoly actually gambling? Plus, we debate why the good guy always seems to have the upper hand in action movie car chases. Join us as we catch up on our weeks—Jamie celebrates his son's birthday, while Tom gets pumped for the return of the NFL season. As always, we bring you the hilarious regular segments: Callum's Teachings: Why do we eat circular food from the inside out? Tom’s Journal: The funniest things Tom found on the internet this week. Jamie’s Audience Participation Challenge: This week, we're asking YOU to share words or phrases from the 90s/00s that would leave today’s kids scratching their heads. It’s all the chaos and fun you’ve come to expect from us! Be sure to comment and join the conversation—your input is part of the show! https://lnkd.in/eQVuHcwU https://lnkd.in/expHkT9Y #TheChroniclesOfPodcast #TCOPod #JamesEarlJones #McDonaldsMonopoly #IsItGambling #ActionMovieDebate #CarChaseLogic #NFLSeason2024 #BirthdayCelebrations #CallumsTeachings #TomsJournal #JamiesChallenge #90sKids #00sNostalgia #PodcastHumor #WeeklyPodcast #PopCultureDebate #ComedyPodcast #RandomFun #JoinTheConversation #AudienceParticipation

We’re baaaaaaacccccckkk! Season 2 of I Could Talk to You All Day is here and John Spears and I are SO excited! While editing Episode 1 of Season 2, I could hear the giddiness in our voices as we got to get back together to do something we both love so much. In fact, our first episode of the season talks about how powerful and reenergizing a break can be (and was for us). No cap*, we both really needed the break for, well, let’s call it “personal growth” time (some chosen, some that just happened). (* Did I use “no cap” right, fellow young people?) Plus, Season 1 was like a year and a half long because we don’t know how podcast seasons work. 🤷♀️ Who knows how long Season 2 will be? Neither of us has done that research. Anywhooooo, give The Value of Taking a Break a listen: https://lnkd.in/eptHxidS . . . and if you like it, Season 1 has more than 30 episodes for you to catch up on. #fineisatrap #icouldtalktoyouallday #executiveleadership #takeabreak

I went to Vegas expecting lights, action, maybe a jackpot... instead, I got grilled by Andrew Tayler from FFL USA! Our podcast just dropped, and let's just say I spilled more tea than a British café. I shared stories I've kept under wraps, answered questions I never saw coming, and showed a side of myself I usually save for my dog. Vulnerable? Yep. Entertaining? You bet. Tune in, laugh, cry (maybe), and drop a comment. Episode 75: Many Small Things - listen today! Peter Katz and I discuss how our desire for big wins can distract us from the incremental power of small yet consistent accomplishments. What can the ritual of “the mundane” help connect us to our dream-come-true outcomes? Plus, how can we carry the sense of completion attached to many of youth’s many milestones to our adult lives? Comment below to answer the questions we asked on the podcast today: When travelling, do you have a system to avoid leaving things behind? Have you ever forgotten something that caused something else to go drastically wrong? What is one memory you’d like to be able to have about what you did this summer?

Here's why I believe setting big scary goals is magical: It actually doesn't matter whether you create the goal or not. Yes - setting big scary goals is magical even if you "fail." Because whatever happens - even if you don't get the outcome you planned - you're going to learn sooo much about yourself along the way. Just from betting on yourself and saying yes. Just from committing to going after something you've never done before. Something that feels a bit scary. (The only reason goals feel heavy and hard is when we add a layer of beating ourselves up on top. If we can drop the judgement, we open ourselves to learning so much goodness even when things don't go to plan or we "fail") Tune in to this week's episode of The Scary Goals Club to hear my conversation with Keith McCrae (Founder of Breakout International Recruitment and co-host of the Beyond the Craft podcast) and how he navigated "failure." Enjoy!
