Recent commitments by various countries and corporations to reach net-zero emissions have prompted increased reliance on critical minerals. The limited supply of these minerals, combined with growing geopolitical tensions, have led to the development of initiatives and policies designed to assert certain levels of control over mineral exploration and development activities within the borders various states. In a recent Canadian Mining Journal article, Robin Longe, José Ignacio Morán, María Paula Morelli and Michael R. Rattagan delve into the rise of resource nationalism in Canada and Latin America. Our world's climate is changing because of our emissions of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. But these emissions are difficult to directly measure. So, data sets are generally created through calculations from a method developed by scientists contributing to international guidance produced and updated by the IPCC. How do we know that these data are accurate? I offer some comments in today's post on doctorclimatechange. https://lnkd.in/gexF4bfr
