🇦🇺 This year’s International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) in Sydney, Australia promises to bring together a large number of participants from the global mining industry, including many of our colleagues and clients. Attendees, Kym Livesley, John Mollard, José Ignacio Morán, Urvashi Seomangal and myself from the Dentons Global Mining Teambring different perspectives to the issues facing the industry right now, including these priorities:   1. How we are seeing our clients react to the continuing volatility in the critical mineral space, at least for some minerals such as lithium. Do the recent and just announced big deals bring back support for prices long term? 2. For the broader critical minerals space, are we seeing enough investment coming in the development of processing facilities to change the current control of the industry? How will rare earth elements production meet forecast demand? 3. Resource Mining Corporation Limited (ASX:RMI) director Trevor Matthews joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio following the discovery of significant #gold and #copper at Mpanda in the Ubendian Orogenic Belt of Tanzania. Matthews provides insight into the ongoing work at Mpanda, highlighting the substantial results from soil and auger samples at the Stalike and Mpanda Ndogo targets. With assays for seven additional anomalous areas pending, expectations are high for further positive outcomes. The discoveries at Mpanda offer a new valuable opportunity within RMI’s Tanzanian project portfolio. Matthews discusses the strategic implications of these results, emphasising their potential to significantly enhance shareholder value. Initial grab samples from a shallow pit within the Stalike anomaly revealed high-grade copper values between 4.12% and 13.58%, and gold mineralisation ranging from 1.41 g/t to 3.24 g/t. Four out of the five lowest cost per pound copper mines are in #Kazakhstan, reports MiningVisuals. Low fuel costs, skilled labour, and strong infrastructure make Kazakhstan an ideal jurisdiction for #copper exploration. #EST has boots on the ground and first mover advantage for new copper discoveries.
