The busy attorney's financial advisor | Putting your money where it matters most, so you can reduce your taxes today and tomorrow. Stop tipping Uncle Sam!
Five lessons I learned in my previous life. Before going into financial services I worked at an Ace Hardware Store. I started by sweeping the floors and tossing out the garbage. I moved on to filling the shelves, mixing paint, making keys. Eventually I became a store manager. My experience taught me a lot, and I learned a lot. Here's five things that come to mind: 1. In anything you do, you have to apply yourself to be successful. 2. Greet people with a smile, and say thank you. 3. Paying people well isn't the only way to retain them. 4. Being a retail manager doesn't allow you license to be lazy. 5. Figure out what makes you different, and why people come to you. Bonus: The "fish" stinks from the head. Leadership and culture starts at the top. People don't leave companies; they leave management and ownership. Bonus 2: I tried twice to work for the corporate office of Ace. The store owner stopped it both times. I suppose I should be flattered. At the end of the day, he stunted my growth, and killed my enthusiasm. Working in retail helped me get out of my shell. I'm an introverted extrovert. I can sit in a room and not talk to someone who's with me. But when it comes time to have a conversation, that career showed me the way, and how to open up. Did you have a previous career? What did you learn from it? I'm the Wealth Guardian. 😎 Minimizing your taxes while you accumulate, distribute and transfer your wealth, so you can live abundantly and with dignity. Ready to have your discovery meeting? “I think I’m ready for my first FD role but I’m not 💯 sure” I hear that loads. And it’s really hard - because how do you know until you know?? So what options do you have? 👉🏻 the obvious one - take the plunge! Go to market for an FD / number 1 in finance role. But be mindful that you need to be sure and you need to convey that confidence to the new employer. Once you land I’d get the recruiter to link you to a seasoned FD in their network that can mentor you early doors and give you that little bit of moral support or external sounding board. 👉🏻ask your current employer for secondment into the FD role if at all feasible, or at least to throw you more and more “FD activities”. Give this some creative thinking - does the business have subsidiaries or the owners maybe have another bite sized business that you could become FD of? If the current FD is too precious to hand over additional tasks then think about a move. 👉🏻 move to an FC role with a baked in journey to FD. Not a fluffy “you could become FD if we land on Venus or the business quadruples in turnover next quarter etc etc” but a - “you will be FD in 24 months because the current person is retiring or you’ll join as FC but we will take away the portfolio FD in a year for example” Not everyone should make the move. It’s often not all you expected and I see loads of people step back into the number 2 role with a wide smile on their face at the thought of the reduced pressure!! And that’s cool! 😎 But one thing that will hinder your progress to FD if you really fancy it is sitting on the potty thinking about it for another year without taking any action. Good Luck!! #journeytofd

Executive Recruiter specializing in Sales Leadership, Accounting Professionals, and Construction Management Professionals | Expert in delivering elite talent in a time and cost effective manner
I’m thrilled to share a recent triumph from the trenches of high-stakes executive recruitment. For this particular role, I was on the hunt for a purple squirrel....a licensed CPA ready to step into a succession plan role for a client in a small town nestled between Greensboro, NC & Charlotte, NC, which were roughly an hour and a half in either direction. Challenge accepted!!! Challenge #1: The role was more than a job; it was a future owner/leader's mantle. We needed a CPA not just with the right credentials, but with the vision and desire to carry the torch forward. Challenge #2: Geography. My client is based in a small town, making it essential to find someone with roots or willing to plant them in this unique community. Small towns are built on community engagement, so as a future business owner, involvement was key. The search was tough and took a bit longer than expected. But guess what? I did it. After a thorough search and some serious matchmaking, I found the one. An exceptional candidate who didn't just check the boxes but brought a new level of passion and expertise to the table. And the best part? The fit is just right. Not only did he slide into the role; he's thriving, proving that no matter the obstacles, the right person is out there. #RecruitmentWin #ExecutiveSearch #SuccessionPlanning

#Negotiation is the art of expanding possibilities. You MUST challenge assumptions and enter negotiations without self-imposed limitations. How do you know you rocked it? When you hear something along the lines of this… (Actual recent win) “We have never before presented anyone with this type of offer…” What are you doing to break the market compensation bands and be the 99th percentile? — A rising tide raises all ships 🛥️ — Don’t just put the work in for yourself, do it for your fellow teammates and the next in line. *** → Follow #execsandthecity for more. 🔔 Ring the bell at the top right of my profile. #negotiationstrategy #interviewtips

Believe OR noT! The main director has categories of responsibilities and jobs. it depends on how big the company is and how many employees it has. Talking about the duties, none of them are the same, for some reason this position carries all the responsibilities in one. such as finances, salary examples, employees, our personal security system attorneys, and our business services. everything is done and accountable to at least two people. There must be commissioners and other parties who understand the income for the company itself. it depends on the partner or buyer if it is a trading company. how clever the president director is in holding the business but not in his position. a position without a business will die or stop. That is my own experience. Lots of income in an instant and tactics to make contracts quickly with buyers without disappointing in the production sector. very heavy and complicated especially for the specified time. But as professionals, we have to seriously handle problems without causing cases. This type of job and position, will in charge over 8 hours . Out of executive facilities or just need in out door. imagine that the job won't get anything done for 12 hours, because of containning and managing everything else takes at least 18 hours. Sometimes the vehicle is our office too. Unbelievible. Well, now is the time to relax but not yet retire because the spirit of working hard and having lots of money still takes away of my dreams! 😂 #business #leadershipdevelopment #experiences #talentmanagement #businesslaw

I Partner With CEOs & CFOs To Deploy Top-Tier Interim Accounting and Finance Consultants Who Boost Profitability Via The Pinnacle Difference
Sometimes a setback is one of the best things to happen to us. When you’re going through the moment it can feel like the end of the world. A “Why Me!?” situation… But the truth is, setbacks can be just blessings in disguise! Early in my recruiting career, I was working on a project and at the final stages of what would be one of my biggest placements ever, but then it happened… A last-minute addition resulted in my client going with another candidate who was better suited for the role. What was about to be a $32,500 fee turned into $0... I was devastated, saying goodbye to the commission as if it was already mine. But I focused on the important part, which was the relationship with my client and the candidate that just as devastated as me. She was really excited about the opportunity but accepted the situation and moved on. She eventually landed another role with a rapidly growing company in a similar leadership position. Together we added 4 people around her for $104,750 worth of billings for our firm within a 2 month time-frame. The moral of the story. #1 Relationships matter #2 Rejection now might just be preparing you for a massive success to come. Have you ever experienced a rejection that later led you to something better? #accountingandfinance #recruitment #setbacks
