Our children learn our true values not by what we say, but by what we do. Whether it's praying together, reading the Bible, or attending church, our actions speak volumes. We have the opportunity to model a life of faith and devotion to God, shaping our children's hearts by our example 💙 💻Watch the full sermon here: https://lnkd.in/eCtCKuYR

In which situations are you comfortable sharing your faith? Which conditions are uncomfortable for you, causing you to be less likely to be a verbal witness for Christ? As an introvert, I understand the tension between desiring to be a faithful witness and navigating when and how to do that. We are not all the same in personality or giftedness, but we share Christ's Great Commission to make disciples. How do you fulfill that mandate? Do you let fears keep you from it? Here's the May 24 devotional from my "Next Step Devotions" book, based on Acts 14:1-7. https://lnkd.in/eSGVydsZ

6/22/24 The contexts and goals of 1 Timothy 1 carry into chapter two. And we do not divide 1 Tim 2:1-15 at verse 8. Paul was declaring in 2:1-7 that our lives are to be tranquil and quiet in all godliness and dignity. And because the people spreading the strange doctrines and mythologies were also multiplying the lies and agitation in the church, 1 Tim 2:8-15 applies to living and worshiping tranquilly in the church. All are to live in godliness and dignity (2). Men are to pray lifting up holy hands without wrath and dissension (8). Women are to learn and appear modestly and discreetly (9, 11). The contexts about quiet in community (2:2) and the church (2:11) are so that all people would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (7).
