Here's how you can help direct Target's giving to benefit York Street Project: Now through June 30, 2024, vote for us through the Target Circle program to help determine how Target's donation will be divvied up. Find out more about Target Circle here: https://lnkd.in/ebWgtBEm How to place your vote(s): Step 1: Open the Target app on your phone OR go to https://lnkd.in/ebWgtBEm, login and choose My Target from the menu. Step 2: Tap on Target Circle. Step 3: Select vote for nonprofits (you will be able to see how many votes you have earned here). Step 4: Find York Street Project & vote. Notes: 1- You earn votes based on purchases at Target. 2- Your default "my store" has to be set to the Jersey City store (zip code 07302) in order to find York Street Project and vote for us. We're asking our supporters to help us make the most of this incredible opportunity. Every vote counts to help us receive a portion of the available Target funds as we continue our mission to break the cycle of poverty for the women, children and families of York Street Project. Excellent analysis back in January of 2024 by the AP about the Fearless Funding program which 3 panel Judge just ruled against on June 3rd, 2024. One of the 3 judges was an Obama appointee and all 3 Judges voted to deny Fearless Funding's right to focus their fund on under funded minority women's start up business costs. Going forward, I think a solid legal argument to make relies on a tax based distinction. After taxes are paid, one should have additional latitude in terms of how their money is donated; provided it can be proven the donations are to improve known statistical deficiencies among different races or nationalities. https://lnkd.in/gZ8phipm
