With the decrease in expenses and technical barriers, it’s possible today for almost any political candidate to raise money online. However, it takes a bit of planning to properly set up your donation infrastructure. And if you wait to begin the process, you may lose out on valuable fundraising time. Excellent analysis back in January of 2024 by the AP about the Fearless Funding program which 3 panel Judge just ruled against on June 3rd, 2024. One of the 3 judges was an Obama appointee and all 3 Judges voted to deny Fearless Funding's right to focus their fund on under funded minority women's start up business costs. Going forward, I think a solid legal argument to make relies on a tax based distinction. After taxes are paid, one should have additional latitude in terms of how their money is donated; provided it can be proven the donations are to improve known statistical deficiencies among different races or nationalities. https://lnkd.in/gZ8phipm
