SEEK A JOB THAT ALLOWS YOU TO WORK Looking for a new opportunity can feel like a daunting task, but it's also a chance to remind ourselves that jobs are available to those who seek them. Even when doors seem closed, we must always endeavor to knock because not all are locked. Opportunities can sometimes be missed because they come dressed in aprons labeled "WORK." So let's shift our focus from just finding a job to finding work. Work is the mother of job, and it's the nature of mothers to nurture. In a job, the employer pays you, but in work, your effort pays you. With a job, your salary is the motivation, but in work, your growth and satisfaction are the key motivators. A job comes with a job description, while work comes with personal goals. In jobs, people are paid after the agreed period, but with work, you'll be paid for working. Therefore, when looking for a new opportunity, seek a job that will allow you to work. Remember that sometimes the greatest opportunities come from the hardest challenges. Keep pushing and keep knocking, and you'll find the work that's right for you. #newopportunities #jobsearch #careeradvice

Hey Job Seekers, here’s some support just for you 🙌 Searching for a job can be one of the toughest experiences in your professional life, especially with the current market situation. It tests your patience, resilience, and determination. But remember, this journey holds immense potential for growth and self-discovery. Even though the path might be filled with uncertainty and self-doubt, each step is bringing you closer to the right opportunity. It’s also super important to prioritize self-care. Job hunting can be emotionally and physically exhausting, and it's easy to forget about your well-being while chasing a new role. Maintaining a healthy balance is key. Make sure to relax, exercise, and do things that make you happy. A clear and rested mind is much more effective in tackling job search challenges than a tired one. And don’t forget to celebrate the small wins along the way. It's easy to focus only on the end goal—landing the job—but recognizing and appreciating your progress is just as important. Whether it’s getting a callback, making a new connection, or simply updating your resume, these milestones are signs of progress. Acknowledging them can help keep your spirits high and motivate you to keep moving forward. The job you’re looking for is closer than you think. Keep moving forward with confidence and determination—you’ve got this. 💪

Guiding Lawyers through their recruitment process | Legal Recruitment Director | Former Real Estate Paralegal
Do you ever feel GUILTY about looking for a new job? Don’t! Be DEDICATED, but DON’T BE LOYAL. I spoke to a Lawyer recently who said she felt guilty about considering her career options. Here’s the kicker – the law firm were giving her: ❌ Below market rate salary ❌ No defined career pathway ❌ No time to allow her to attend networking events ❌ No praise for the great work she was actually doing Yet she still felt guilty for looking for a new position. My thoughts…. Loyalty gets you nowhere if it’s not reciprocated by your employer. So what can you do if you find yourself in this position? My advice for anyone who finds themselves in this position: Be DEDICATED to your work. 🔹 Don’t let your own standards slip 🔹 Continue to deliver positive results 🔹 Actively participate in meetings 🔹 Help struggling co-workers BUT DON’T BE LOYAL 💥 You’re the only one who can effect change in your own career 💥 If an employer hasn’t made any positive changes for a while then don’t wait around for something that may never happen 💥 Put yourself first If you’re giving everything to your employer and getting very little in return, then you have no reason to feel guilty about considering your options. Be dedicated, but don’t be loyal.
