As the Lunar New Year begins, communities worldwide unite to celebrate this vibrant holiday, observed by cultures such as Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean. It marks the start of a new lunar calendar, a time for reflection, family reunions, and hopes for prosperity, health, and happiness. Traditions vary, but often include festive meals with symbolic dishes like dumplings for wealth, fish for abundance, and rice cakes for unity. Red envelopes bring luck, and homes are adorned with red decorations to ward off evil spirits. Additionally, honoring ancestors is a central aspect of the celebrations, signifying respect and gratitude for family heritage. At Inizio, we celebrate the opportunity to share cultural traditions together. As we enter the Year of the Snake—symbolizing intelligence, strategy, and resourcefulness—we invite our colleagues to share what Lunar New Year means to them. How do you celebrate? What traditions bring you joy? Wishing you luck and joy for the year ahead. #LunarNewYear #YearoftheSnake #ReimagineHealth

As we are celebrating the Lunar New Year today, this is, to me at least, also a reminder of the global nature of technology. Yes, "Big Tech" is US-centric and leading the way, but DeepSeek in Hangzhou, Mistral in Paris, and numerous startups in London, Seoul, and Berlin, tells us that opportunities are global. It is about finding them, and then executing on them. We for one, we are leveraging the foundations (knowledge, technology, etc) of our energy cluster, marrying it with Agentic AI and GenAI, to build the digital workers for the energy industry of tomorrow. Here, we do have a comparative advantage over our friends in Silicon Valley. An opportunity to apply the lastest in AI to the energy industry. And we are taking it. #AgenticAI #AI DeepSeek AI Mistral AI #TeamIda Ida AI.D.A
A happy Lunar New Year to all our friends and colleagues celebrating around the world. Snakes 🐍 are often associated with evil and temptation (Kaa in The Jungle Book anyone?), but there's more to snakes than that. Themes for 2025 includes wisdom, transformation, and growth. Pillars that surely will apply for many this year, including us and Team Ida. Here's to a bright and prosperous year ahead! 🎉 #LunarNewYear #NewBeginnings #Prosperity #Gratitude

I read a lot about the importance of effective storytelling in leadership, but at its core, storytelling is essential to how we see the world. Much of the past year I have been working with many people with whom celebrate Lunar Year New Year... so its forced me to learn a little more. As the story goes, "each zodiac animal that represents constellations in the solar system, has its own set of defined traits and characteristics, and people born in their years are said to possess the same qualities". So, as I found out, this is better than any DISC profile or 360 feedback exercise and far quicker. I didnt know until today, but I was born in the year of the Monkey .... the traits I possess are somewhat flattering but with some deep work to do - Mischievous, Clever, Inventive, Individualistic. You can find out more what qualities you possess from the link below in comments section. Drop a comment - do your zodiac animal qualites ring true to you?

𝗔 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗜𝘀 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆? I’ve been thinking about the changing dynamics of the Lunar New Year. It's funny how traditions hold on, even as everything else changes around us. Lunar New Year has always been a special time. Families come together, and cultural practices are passed down through generations. Communities buzz with energy and warmth. But as times change, noticeable shifts are happening. Younger generations are increasingly adopting urban lifestyles and often drift away from traditional observances. Busy schedules, city life, and different priorities make it challenging to keep those traditions alive. This is understandable but also a bit sad. Then there's technology. It's such a big part of our lives, but it also raises questions about how we can hold onto those unique cultural nuances. How do we celebrate something timeless in a world that's always looking for the next new thing? Still, there's hope. Many are determined to preserve the rich heritage of the Lunar New Year. People are devising creative ways to keep the celebrations vibrant and meaningful even today. So, while the way we celebrate might change, the essence stays. It's about family, connection, and keeping traditions alive. And that’s something worth holding onto, no matter where the future takes us. #LunarNewYear #Tradition #Family #CulturalHeritage

According to one legend, there is a reason for the order of the animals in the cycle. A race was held to cross a great river, and the order of the animals in the cycle was based upon their order in finishing the race. In this story, the snake compensated for not being the best swimmer by hitching a hidden ride on the Horse's hoof. When the horse was about to cross the finish line, the snake jumped out, scaring the horse, and thus edging it out for sixth place. The same twelve animals are also used to symbolize the cycle of hours in the day, each being associated with a two-hour time period. The hour of the snake is 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., the time when the Sun warms up the Earth, and snakes are said to slither out of their holes. The month of the snake is the 4th month of the Chinese lunar calendar and it usually falls within the months of May through June depending on the Chinese to Gregorian calendar conversion. The reason the animal signs are referred to as zodiacal is that one's personality is said to be influenced by the animal signs ruling the time of birth, together with elemental aspects of the animal signs within the sexagenary cycle. Similarly, the year governed by a particular animal sign is supposed to be characterized by it, with the effects particularly strong for people who were born in any year governed by the same animal sign. In our western Christian religion, the snake is a symbol of the devil. Please read Genesis 3 in the Bible. By the way, I was born end of May
