You will get rejected for trying to support others, you will get naysayers & you will get people saying you can’t possibly achieve it. What you’ve got to do is say watch me, be determined, have passion in what you believe in, & be driven enough & determined enough to prove people wrong. Stick to your beliefs & find like-minded people for support & stick with them, none of us succeeds alone but we can try even better especially if we’re together. The more people like that you get on your side the more likely you’ll have successful events. I don’t believe in running down competition we are all part of the grassroots #community and should all help each other out, other #promoters should all help and support each other especially if they are based at the same #venue, as it all helps each other’s to be successful. Networking Tips for Aspiring Musicians

Millions of dollars are left on the table at galas across the country for one reason: 𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗. From large galas to intimate events, I’ve seen sound be an issue and result in organizations losing $$$. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 3 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀? • 2 speakers close to the stage are too loud for those sitting close, too soft for those in the back • Relying on a venue's in house sound system and not bringing in a professional AV person. • Relying on the DJ/Band to handle sound for your event. They're going to optimize sound for their music, not your program, different objectives. SO, have a system with plenty of speakers that will cover the entire room. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺? • When people can't hear the emcee, speakers, or auctioneer, they talk to their neighbors. • Folks aren't going to bid on items when they don't know the amount they're bidding. • When sound is bad it reflects poorly on the entire event and organization. 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆. 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱! Any other issues you've seen impact the bottom line? I'd love to hear ⬇️
