Can traffic signals help create pedestrian street events? I think they can. #ReimaginingTrafficSignalSpaces I often see the adaptive traffic signals cycling aimlessly surrounded by temporary traffic management at pedestrian street events and re-imagine enabling an ‘event mode’. A scramble crossing demonstrates the feasibility and readiness. Creating this event mode with targeted configuration of the adaptive traffic signals and perhaps some nifty automation could reduce effort and cost of such events easing them to occur at greater frequency to activate and vitalise places. This seems such an opportunity for value creation from existing things. #TrafficSignals #ITS #ActiveTransport

Yesterday, we kicked off a series of thought leadership events revolving around the “𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗲𝘀” initiative by the NYC Department of City Planning We hosted an impactful virtual roundtable event focusing on this transformative initiative that aims to reshape NYC’s urban landscape by converting underutilized office spaces into residential units, addressing the housing shortage, and creating vibrant, livable communities. Our esteemed panel was led by the amazing Edith Hsu-Chen, Executive Director of NYC Department of City Planning, with participation of Brian Tormey, NTP from TitleVest and First American, David Rosenberg from Rosenberg & Estis, P.C., and our very own CEO and Co-Founder Avi Aflalo. We showcased how, through our innovative 3D platform, transit-oriented development and town center zoning (Just 2 examples from the “City of Yes” robust initiative) can be contextualized, visualized, and ultimately planned with just a few clicks. It was exciting to demonstrate how our technology can revolutionize urban planning and development. The Q&A session featured some very insightful questions that significantly enhanced the understanding of the "City of Yes" initiative among NYC real estate professionals.
