Spring proves to be a bustling season as we gear up for Camp DREAM's upcoming session, welcoming both day and night campers. Various partner organizations have graciously contributed to volunteer work days, alleviating the workload. Ben and Jerry's, The South Burlington Rotary Club, and Deloitte have all extended their support! We express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who dedicated their time and effort to clean, construct, relocate, paint, sand, and tidy up the camp. The collaborative effort serves as a testament to the adage that teamwork truly makes tasks lighter. #CommunitySupport #VolunteerAppreciation#BigDREAMS #CommunityPartners

"Why be a volunteer... It's not for the money, it's not for fame, and it's not for any personal gain. It's for the love of fellow man, it's just to lend a helping hand. It's just to give the tithe of self. That's something you can't buy with wealth. It's not the medals worn with pride. It's just for that feeling deep inside. It's that reward down in your heart. It's the feeling that you've been a part of helping others far and near, that's what makes you a volunteer!" • Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Do you love the outdoors? In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the complexities of daily life, often overlooking the simple yet profound impact of gratitude. It is powerful practice that that can transform our outlook, relationships, and overall well-being. Volunteering and helping others is one of several ways to cultivate gratitude as it can remind us of the things we often take for granted. On a hot day in Dallas in July, working on a house for Habitat for Humanity alongside my colleagues offered a perfect opportunity to reflect on the challenges many people face when it comes to homeownership, now more than any other time. Following the last Recession, homeownership opportunities decreased because of a lack of supply and because of tighter credit. Since then, new housing production has not kept up with demand, resulting in a steep increase in home prices, especially for homes in lower price tiers. Low interest rates before the recent hike lowered borrowers’ monthly payments, but higher home prices have increased the size of the down payments required. Now, both high home prices and high interest rates have significantly worsened mortgage affordability. For young people who may have lived with family for some time or for those with moderate incomes, accessibility is more limited than ever, and it is even harder for families of color and single women due to systemic bias. We know that access to housing plays a crucial role in health and wellbeing and also builds a foundation for wealth-building through equity growth. The work and advocacy that Habitat for Humanity provides helps overcome these barriers, supports strong and stable communities, revitalizes neighborhoods, and in partnership with families, makes homeownership more accessible. I feel very privileged to have had this opportunity to support such a worthy case and to have executed it with the high-performing and dedicated team from Smart Data Solutions! I am grateful to be working with you all and I look forward to our next adventure. #Gratitude #Community #GivingBack #HabitatForHumanity #Volunteering #TeamBuilding #BuildingBetterLives
We had an amazing time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. It was an incredible opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity at Dallas, an organization dedicated to the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live. This experience has not only allowed us to give back to the community but has also strengthened our team spirit and collaboration. Working together on such a meaningful project has brought us closer and reinforced our commitment to making a positive impact. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving the Smart Data team this amazing opportunity to make a difference! Huge Thank You to our amazing Who I Am Foundation #volunteers in #Albuquerque who came out to Saturday morning's Community Clean-Up project! Our volunteers picked up over 4 BAGS of trash at Tingley Beach, in a little over 2 hours! Showcasing the impact you can make in the community by simply volunteering 1-2 hours a week. These Community Clean-Up projects are conducted each month, and our team will rotate around to different parts of Santa Fe, to clean up streets, neighborhoods, and parks. Volunteer-led projects such as these are one of the quickest, simplest, and least expensive ways to inspire more community spirit and civic action. A visually appealing #community increases property values, attracts businesses, and improves the neighborhood's image. Beauty is one of the three most influential factors in community attachment, which means loyalty, to your particular town or city. Some research even shows that a nice-looking neighborhood promotes good behavior. If you know of any parks or neighborhoods that could use some beautification, simply comment below! #EnvironmentalOutreach Awesome job #TeamWhoIAm_Albuquerque

On my travels workplaces will ask how they can create a "good workplace culture". A good workplace culture should be the goal for every company. I have observed a myriad of benefits that a good workplace culture can have. Safety is better, worker attrition is low, worker's pride in their job is high, etc. One simple method of facilitating a workplace culture is to get the workers to interact with each other away from their jobs and their workplace responsibilities. What better way than for employees to work together for the benefit of the local community. As Gränges Americas Inc. shows us with their great post. When workplaces have volunteer opportunities for the their employees everyone wins. It is these simple volunteer opportunities that allow employees to deal with their coworkers away from the stress of work. Job titles mean little when one is volunteering. Why, because employees are working together to complete a task. These events allows individuals to get to know their coworker(s) on a way that they cannot at their workplace. This interpersonal connection that is achieved can provide so many rewards to either growing or maintaining a good work culture. Keep up the good work Gränges Americas Inc. ! I do love your posts.
Employer community responsibility refers to the obligation that businesses have to contribute positively to the communities in which they operate. This responsibility goes beyond simply making profits and encompasses various actions aimed at improving the well-being of the community and addressing social, environmental, and economic challenges. Employer community responsibility is about recognizing the interconnectedness between businesses and the communities they serve and taking proactive steps to contribute positively to the social, economic, and environmental well-being of those communities. By fulfilling their community responsibilities, employers can build trust, strengthen relationships, and create shared value for both their businesses and the communities in which they operate. Thank you to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee for letting our team in Huntingdon including Ryan Brockman, Connor Pinson, Rachel Carter, Hannah Belew, Erik Belew, Joseph Richardson, and many more be involved in such a wonderful outing. #Secondharvest #communityinvolvement #volunteers

Excited to share a brand-new video from our recent event at the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless Community Garden with Jovia Financial Credit Union members volunteering. It was an event full of laughter, hard work, and heartwarming moments. Shoutout to our award-winning junior community volunteers who took part with Deborah Mazza and Christine Bentley, Bailey Riekkinen, Simone Williams for taking the time to be interviewed. 🔹 Our team dove into action—rolling up sleeves, tackling weeds, and turning weeding into quite the workout! 🔹 Engaging with community members, genuine smiles, and stories that remind us why we do what we do—it's all about human connections. 🔹 Midway through, vibrant activities shined, with lots of weeding and even more laughter. 🔹 Behind-the-scenes footage showcased teamwork in action, like a reality show with more soil and fewer drama queens. 🔹 Wrapping up with unforgettable moments leaving everyone grinning from ear to ear. This video reflects our hard work and passion for community outreach. Proud to be part of a team making a real difference, one weed at a time! Watch the full video and share your thoughts. What's your favorite part, and how can we enhance our community outreach? Your feedback matters! Let's keep those green thumbs moving and brains thinking! 💡 #CommunityEngagement #TeamWork #JoviaFinancialCreditUnion #CommunityRelations #Marketing #LICHCommunityGarden #GardenAdventures

At SureCall Contact Centers, we pride ourselves on giving back to our community. Recently, our team assisted Hull Services by painting picnic tables, removing old paint, and trimming bushes. We learned that annual painting is necessary due to wear from children and sun exposure, and that the maintenance team is busy with multiple properties, often relying on volunteers. The experience was rewarding, especially learning about support programs for individuals away from home. Our efforts made a positive impact on these individuals' summer, and we encourage more volunteers to participate in community service initiatives. #ExecutiveLeadership #CEOInsights #CLevelLeadership #CorporateInnovation #CXOLeaders #BusinessPerformance #StrategicPartnerships #NYCExecutiveLeadership #LosAngelesBusinessSolutions #ChicagoCorporateStrategy #CaliforniaBusinessLeaders #DallasExecutiveDecisions #AtlantaEnterpriseSolutions #SeattleBusinessInnovation #LondonExecutiveLeadership #ManchesterBusinessSolutions #BirminghamCorporateStrategy #GlasgowBusinessOperations #LiverpoolLeadershipInsights #CorporateCultureExcellence #CanadianWorkplacePride #CultureOfInnovation

Easter and Spring are a lovely time to be outdoors. #Nature is precious in itself, but did you know it's also key to well-being and human health? Recent research by Chilterns National Landscape shows that it's a core factor for an inclusive society (link in the comments) What holds communities back? - Lack of information and access, - limited transport, compounding lack of time - safety concerns, especially for women and children, or with fear of free running dogs - and physical ability. These things resonate with me, especially as I often tend to #WalkWoodHP5 alone, and feel a duty of care to our #volunteer community. At Walk Wood, we also want to do our part. - our bridleway is well maintained and wheelchair accessible most of the year - we registered an additional permissive footpath to keep walkers off the road - our dead hedges keep walkers on trail, protecting bluebell and wildflower beds, and creating habitats. Access to nature should not come to its detriment and some spaces should be off-limits - we kindly ask walkers to keep dogs on leads during nesting season, and promote community awareness on topics such as asian hornet, why it's important to clean your boots, and more - we partner with local organizations and run volunteer and educational activities How do you enjoy nature, and what are your tips to support our outdoor spaces? Wishing a happy Easter weekend to all who celebrate it or are spending it in nature. #nature #inclusive #outdoors #community #health #wellbeing #accessibility #sustainability #volunteer #education #partnerships #ChilternsNationalLandscape #WalkWoodHP5
