This isn't a bloody and dangerous victory, this is the story of a loss. As a former Combat Camera Team member this content is fascinating. It's one of the most intense insights into the realities of #combat in #Ukraine I've ever seen. Particularly on the impact of #drones on #infantry, which is flipping brutal. It is also a massive of job running at 2 x 50min edits (that are slightly baggy). It would have required considerable resource to pull it together. So beyond the content itself, I'm interested in the #commsstrategy behind it. This isn't a bloody and dangerous victory, this is the story of a loss. Which they acknowledge in the #film. A loss in which people are killed and injured on camera. Which is then released online by the unit they were in... What is the thinking behind crafting and releasing this film? We would never have been allowed to put out something like this in #Afghanistan. #Stratcomms people, I'd love your insights? What are the upsides and downsides to this? It's interesting taking Drone footage shot at 4K and converting to Vertical meaning filming at a wider angle. I prefer it over vertical shooting as you can use the footage for both normal and vertical. https://lnkd.in/g5YrnYQq
