⚠️ Ridiculous Instances of Health and Safety Going Too Far: Shop Refuses to Inflate Balloon Purchased Online🎈 🎈 In 2014, a customer bought a helium balloon from a card shop. They asked the shopkeeper to inflate it and if they could also pay to have another balloon that they had purchased online inflated. The trader claimed that they could only fill balloons purchased from their store for health and safety reasons. This story is an excellent example of concealing the commercial reasons behind health and safety laws! 🎈 Inflating a balloon bought elsewhere poses no risk to anyone's safety. Fortunately, the organisation's manager agreed to instruct employees to explain the true reason for this rule in the future. Do you know of any weird and wonderful health & safety stories? #healthandsafety #healthandsafetygonetoofar #healthandsafetytraining

Today’s installment of #BreakingDownTraceability one letter at a time is focused on Receiving. Receiving is one of the Critical Tracking Events in a food’s supply chain in which a food is received by someone other than a consumer after being transported (e.g., by truck or ship) from another location. Receiving includes receipt of an intracompany shipment of food from one location at a particular street address of a firm to another location of the firm at a different street address. Learn about the receiving KDE’s and how they relate to the shipping KDEs in this infographic by New Era Partners.

🚫 Avoid These 7 Deadly Mistakes When Selling Your Restaurant! 🍽️ Selling a restaurant? One of the most crucial aspects is the equipment list. Unfortunately, this vital step often gets overlooked. Here are the seven common pitfalls to avoid: 🔺 “Loaned” Equipment: Don’t include items you don’t own. If the new owner switches vendors, these could be reclaimed. 🔺 Affixed Items: Items permanently attached to the property, like vent hoods, belong to the landlord and cannot be sold. 🔺 Landlord’s Property: Ensure the lease is reviewed to avoid including equipment that isn’t yours. 🔺 Leased Equipment: Clearly indicate if leased items, like POS systems, are included in the sale to prevent unexpected costs. 🔺 Failure to Inspect Equipment: Buyers should always inspect equipment to avoid costly surprises after closing. 🔺 Failure to Verify Equipment: Confirm all necessary equipment is listed to prevent last-minute removals. 🔺 Including Non-Working Equipment: Only list operational items; otherwise, you risk losing money at closing. A detailed and accurate equipment list ensures a smooth and triumphant transaction. Avoid these mistakes to protect your investment and make the sales process seamless! 💼✨ https://lnkd.in/etws32Yr #RestaurantSale #BusinessBroker #EntrepreneurTips #WeSellRestaurants

Dental Supplies Reimagined - Helping dentists and DSOs save up to 40% on supplies - VP of Sales & Marketing - Sales Leadership
Annual reminder....the heart shaped pizza is less pizza for the same amount of money. When SourceClub does an RFP for a DSO we bid out every line item across 4-6 distributors. One thing we get questions on is how to account for differences in unit of measure (UOM). Honestly...it is extremely time consuming to check and recheck every line to make sure the UOM is matching or adjusted. That is one major reason DSOs hire us. They just don't have the time to compare prices and UOM across thousands of lines of data. You should run an RFP on your supplies at a minimum of every 3 years. If you haven't run one in a while and don't know where to start SourceClub is here to help.

💡 Liquor License Sellers: Are Your Escrow Documents Correct? If you're in the process of selling a liquor license, understanding escrow documents is crucial. Unlike in real estate, the liquor license industry doesn't allow for nominees or assignees. ABC requires one registered buyer entity on the application, and if your documents don’t align with this requirement, you’re risking rejection. ❌ Pro tip: If the buyer entity isn’t clearly reflected, don’t sign! Make sure your broker or agent is providing the correct, registered entity name in the escrow paperwork. This attention to detail can save you time, money, and unnecessary stress. 2moLove this! I just had the best experience at the Drybar in Omaha a couple weeks back. My blowout lasted a solid three days and my stylist was fun, friendly, and left my hair looking exactly as I hoped.
