Faced Backhanded comments ? During my time as a Physiotherapist, I faced numerous challenges, but one of the hardest was dealing with the backhanded comments and misconceptions about our profession. Many people would dismiss our work, treating us as mere masseuses. These comments stung, making me second-guess my decision to pursue this career. There were moments when the negativity felt overwhelming, and I questioned whether I had made the right choice. But something incredible happened during my practice. I saw the tangible impact of my work. Patients who came in with pain and discomfort left with relief and gratitude. Their progress, their smiles, and their heartfelt appreciation were powerful reminders of why I chose this path. Each "thank you" and every positive review overshadowed the negativity, fueling my passion and commitment. Although I am no longer working as a physiotherapist, the connections I made and the patients I helped continue to stay in touch with me. Their ongoing appreciation and the bonds we formed have been incredibly fulfilling and affirming. To all my fellow physiotherapists facing similar challenges: remember why you started. Our work changes lives. It’s not just about physical healing; it’s about giving people back their quality of life. Let’s continue to educate and elevate our profession, showing the world the true power of physiotherapy. Have you faced similar misconceptions or challenges in your profession? Share your experiences and let’s support each other. Together, we can make a difference. #Physiotherapy #HealthcareHeroes #OvercomingChallenges #ProfessionalPride #MotivationMonday

Whether due to their attitude or a lack of motivation, it can be difficult to maintain the necessary patience and empathy. ➡ 3. Keeping Up with Advancements: The physiotherapy field is in constant flux, with new techniques and technologies emerging regularly. Keeping abreast of the latest research and treatments is daunting yet crucial for delivering superior patient care. ➡ 4. Financial Hurdles: Financial stability is a common challenge for many physiotherapists, from handling unpaid invoices to securing a consistent client base. ➡ 5. Skin care consultant, Fitness and aerobic instructor, dance coach, OTA/PTA, Massage Therapist, Health and wellness expert
I had the privilege of having my 5weeks clinical placement at Lifemark Physiotherapy clinic. Boy was it an eye-opener! I got to see the dedication of the health care team towards their clients. The passion they displayed at their job was wholesome to see. This reinforced my determination that I made the right decision in choosing this course. You see, working as a rehab assistant puts you in direct communication with incapacitated patients who require therapy and rehabilitation to improve their motor skills due to injury, disability or disease. As a rehab assistant, I assisted in implementing the rehab plan outlined by the Physiotherapist, and documenting patients' progress report. The key to successfully completing my clinicals was the team spirit, calmness under pressure and friendliness that existed between the staffs in Lifemark Physiotherapy. I am so glad to have experienced working in such a wholesome toxic-free environment. The truth is, one cannot succeed as a healthcare worker if one is sad or emotional depressed because of a toxic working environment. How do you expect to give healing in such a setting? 🤷 This has always been one of my greatest fears - working in such an environment. Managers of such facilities has so much to do to mitigate this occurrence. This they can do by creating a beautiful work culture between staffs. Learn to respect each person's strength and abilities. Avoid comparison. Appreciate diversity, knowing that our strength lies in our differences not in our similarities. #Rehabassistant #OTA #PTA #LifemarkPhysiotherapyClinic #Diaryofarehabassistant
