Mandatory constitutional and political talk preceded great insights on real AI-driven initiatives run and implemented by some of the largest industrial players in Spain. 💡 We specifically appreciated how some panel attendees (Repsol) explained how teams positively impacted their P&Ls using Data Technology that is nowadays also available to SMBs! Good case study to riff on for risk awareness training

A few years ago, Ray Dalio noticed a confluence of political and economic conditions he hadn’t encountered before. They included huge debts and zero or near-zero interest rates that led to massive printing of money in the world’s three major reserve currencies; big political and social conflicts within countries, especially the US, due to the largest wealth, political, and values disparities in more than 100 years; and the rising of a world power (China) to challenge the existing world power (US) and the existing world order. The last time that this confluence occurred was between 1930 and 1945. This realization sent Dalio on a search for the repeating patterns and cause/effect relationships underlying all major changes in wealth and power over the last 500 years. In this remarkable and timely addition to his Principles series, Dalio brings readers along for his study of the major empires—including the Dutch, the British, and the American—putting into perspective the “Big Cycle” that has driven the successes and failures of all the world’s major countries throughout history. In a sea of acronyms, how do you keep track of what everyone does? Romaine is here to clear up how the Eastern Ontario Innovation Corridor (EOIC) contributes to your success (and ours!). The EOIC is an extended arm of Spark Centre that reaches into the #EasternOntario community to advocate for innovation, as well as connect clients with the external resources they need to grow much quicker. 🌱 Essentially, Romaine (and his counterpart Cathy Ireland) will look within #DurhamRegion and eastern Ontario communities to help scout the right supports, programming, connections and advice to help innovators thrive.  Why did we need this branch? Spark Centre has a healthy roster of clients - both domestic and international #entrepreneurs - with amazing innovations; however, there was a gap in how the community could do business with them.
