The Mozambican government has just extended the gas pipeline concession for the Matola Gas Company (MGC) by another 15 years. This decision, announced during a recent Council of Ministers meeting, paves the way for a significant $300 million investment starting this year. The new investment will focus on setting up cutting-edge infrastructure and connecting MGC's existing facilities to receive LNG regasified by the Beluluane Gas Company (BGC). This development is crucial for boosting industrial operations in Maputo province, where MGC already supplies natural gas to key players like the Mozal aluminum smelter and Cimentos de Moçambique. This extension marks a significant step in enhancing Mozambique's energy landscape and fostering industrial growth. As we witness these developments, I'm excited about the potential for increased energy security and economic growth in the region. How do you think these investments will impact the future of Mozambique's energy sector? Share your thoughts! #Energy #Investment #Mozambique #NaturalGas #IndustrialGrowth #GasPipeline #LNG #MGC

Mellitah Oil and Gas B.V has successfully reactivated the gas well (CC-12) in the Bahr Essalam field, boosting Libya’s gas production by 20 million cubic feet of gas and 400 barrels of condensates per day. This achievement aligns with the National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) ongoing efforts to modernize and rehabilitate Libya’s oil and gas infrastructure. Recent developments at the Nafoura oil field, where new wells are being drilled and strategically developed, underscore the NOC’s two-pronged strategy of infrastructure rehabilitation and the development of untapped oil fields. This approach is paving the way for sustainable growth. Strategic planning reviews between the NOC and its subsidiaries—Sirte Oil Company, Waha Oil Company, and Akakus Oil Operations—have set ambitious production targets for the end of 2024. Future projects aim to elevate Waha’s production to 420,000 bpd and Sirte’s to over 120,000 bpd. These initiatives signal significant opportunities for the development of Libya’s oil and gas sector. Wazen Oil Services continues its support of the NOC's vision as well as contributing to these foundational projects.
