Arcee is taking a big step forward with the The University of Toronto today, one of the top tier institutions for AI research and development. Many of the core model merging concepts Charles Goddard and the Arcee team have used in building Arcee's technology stack originated from the UofT, and Arcee is excited to deepen that collaboration.

We’re proud to announce that we have launched a partnership with the University of Toronto’s Master of Science in Applied Computing (MScAC) program. It’s one of the leading Master’s programs training graduates who are ready to hit the ground running in research and engineering roles in the AI space. Our own ML & Customer Success Engineer, Malikeh Ehghaghi, is a graduate of the program–she selected it for its strong focus on applied research, and upon graduating she received a full-time offer from the company she interned with. Through the partnership, we will be recruiting two interns to further our groundbreaking work on model merging and advancing agentic capabilities of SLMs. And we’re thrilled to have a team on campus this week–our CTO Jacob Solawetz, our Chief of Frontier Research Charles Goddard, and Malikeh Ehghaghi–more coming on that soon!

Hey everyone! If anyone with the Olostep or LunchBox track has a spot in their hackathon team, I'd love to join! My teammates are busy this weekend so I'm left without a team for this hackathon. Here's my experience: I'm good with frontend, in React, Express, TypeScript, NextJS and I've worked with Tailwind etc. For backend, I've worked with MERN (mongo, express, react, node) multiple times even before this fellowship so I've experience with Nodejs and MongoDB! Read our latest research in partnership with Girls Who Code! AIR conducted a quasi-experimental study comparing participants from two free virtual summer programs, the Summer Immersion Program (SIP) and the Self-Paced Program (SPP), to similar waitlisted students to determine the effects of program participation on majoring in a CS-related field. This study utilized publicly available National Student Clearinghouse data and Girls Who Code records from program participants and program waitlist students for the years 2020-22. The study yielded two key findings. First, on average, both SIP and SPP participants were significantly more likely to major in a CS-related field (by 13.2 percentage points and 11.5 percentage points, respectively) than comparison students. Second, both SIP and SPP consistently demonstrated positive effects on majoring in a CS-related field across most of the student groups examined, including White, Black/African American, and Hispanic or Latino/a students; students who are historically underrepresented in computing; and students with little to no prior CS knowledge. #CSforAll

Salvador Tranquilino–Ramos, a May graduate with a bachelor’s degree in data science with a 4.0 GPA, spent his time with UIC completing internships, undergraduate research, and student teaching.
