Change management is broken - it's time for a new approach which puts people at the heart of change. Here's just a few of the damning stats that underline this: - Employees’ willingness to support enterprise change collapsed to just 43% in 2022, down from 74% in 2016 (Gartner) - 43% of employees say their employer isn’t prepared to effectively manage workplace change (Censuswide) - 73% of organisations report being past, or nearing change saturation point (Prosci) - 18% of employees would consider leaving their job if a big organization change occurred (Censuswide) Add to this the fact that we're about to enter a period of transformation the likes of which we've never seen before, and we have a recipe for disaster. I'll be exploring this theme further in our next EX Space Summer Series webinar on Tuesday. Sign up (it's free) and join the discussion. https://lnkd.in/ezqfJceg
And yet we all know the recipe for success. We live with change everyday of our lives - from babe in arms onwards. Creating clarity, building trust through open conversation, and deep listening. Working on change together - experts and others - so we create the future we want.
Interesting, but do these stats show that companies aren’t doing change right, rather than it being broken? Proper transformational change should have people at the heart of it.
It's hilarious to think that people weren't at the heart of all this in the first place... Huzzah to this change in change management!
Really compelling stats. Thanks for sharing, Lee.

1moAI integration is transformation. It's going to be fascinating. Looking at these stats... Things need to change for everything to be the same. We just need to do it better, if that's possible. It's in the hands of us as influencers of the decision makers.
