The Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE) has just released a new report, Backing Business R&D, and we are proud to sponsor this crucial work. https://t.ly/XnMig The UK spends about £10 billion a year on health-relevant R&D, and half of that comes from business. However, UK business R&D investment has stagnated, and without better government incentives, the UK will miss out on the benefits of R&D investment. The UK R&D ecosystem is interdependent: we all need each other. LifeArc straddles academia, the charity sector and industry. We need every part of the life science ecosystem to succeed and we're keen to understand how to attract more money into that system from the biggest funders of health-relevant R&D – business.
