Have you heard of the Midas Touch? Where everything King Midas touched turned to gold? I believe that’s possible, but we call it something different. Today, it's called personal branding. When someone can take an ordinary object and make it extraordinary by association —  that’s when you know they have a strong brand. What do you think, are you ready for that power?

Yes! I happen to have been thinking about this a lot recently. The problem I faced over the last few years, is that my energy is so unique, people see me promoting myself, and want that kind of energy in their life and business. So I get in on their team, and touch their brand until it turns to gold. Then, like recently with a record label, that puts them on another level. They ran off with Sony and didn’t give me any credit for having made their brand so appealing to them. In the mean time, my own brand suffered from having poured so much into them. The learning curve is brutal.

Apart from personal brand, can other types of intangible value be built? How does this translate when we're talking about the premium charged by large corporate brands? Chris Do Please share your thoughts 🙏🏽 GoPro!

As to the question in the post, I would like to think I am ready for the "power". (At least, I'm ready and willing to find out if I am.) 😀 As to the question in the carousel, I would say I probably have a personal brand, but it is not as clearly defined and refined as I would like. I have just started creating content on LinkedIn and X for the purpose of developing my personal brand. I am committed to authenticity. We will see how it goes.

Having spent years sharpening my saw, I can say that the essence of personal branding is when you make even the simplest things seem exceptional.

It's absolutely the modern Midas Touch at work: personal branding. ✅ Robust branding can transpose something quite ordinary into the realm of the extraordinary. The Futur™

Personal branding sounds like a fake thing because it comes across as overly calculated and insincere When individuals focus too much on crafting a specific image or persona, it may feel artificial, as if they're more interested in projecting an idealized version of themselves rather than being authentic.

Absolutely, personal branding is today’s Midas Touch. It’s incredible how a strong personal brand can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. I’m also striving for this in my work.
