🎤 Why did I co-found Fondsfrauen? A question I recently answered at our Young Female Talent event in #Zurich, where we hosted close to 100 students, graduates, interns and young professionals, alongside senior members of our #Switzerland community. 🔥 Since the beginning of my career, I’ve been deeply passionate about three areas: client service, sales and talent development! These have been central to my work throughout my 35 years in the asset management and finance industry. Despite the demands of my 24/7 jobs, I always made time for talent development - whether it was my 10-year involvement in the #musicindustry or nearly a decade now with Fondsfrauen. Reflecting on my early career, I had multiple female role models at a time when this was not even a topic. They encouraged me and played a significant role in shaping my personality. Unfortunately, they are not on LinkedIn, but one that continues to inspire and support me is Evi Vogl - the winner of the first Fondsfrauen Award for #Rolemodel of the Year. 🙏 Between 2001 and 2010, I had the opportunity to work with many women in #London who had a very positive influence on my professional journey. Not all of these remarkable women are on LinkedIn, but some of them are: Helen Roberts, Fatima Luis, Grainne Alexander, Karina Litvack, Julia Casson, Allegra Patrizi (ex van Hovell), Helene Williamson 🙏 🙏 It wasn’t until my return to Germany in 2014 that I noticed a significant #gendergap, which motivated me to take action. I felt a strong desire to give back to the industry that has shaped my life. And here we are, almost 10 years later, and #Fondsfrauen has grown into the leading career network for women in the industry. ❇️ Who has inspired you in your career? ❇️ Which women do you admire for their success and achievements? ❇️ Which leader (male or female) has stood out in supporting female talent? ❇️ What company has helped you grow? 👉 Here's YOUR chance to give back: Acknowledge their influence on your career and give them the recognition they deserve through the Fondsfrauen Award! There are only 3 days left to submit your nominations. Just do it - today! https://lnkd.in/dra6SdbQ

We celebrate women talent – every day. Our CBD Circle Women’s Luncheons continue into March, with Council for Board Diversity members Janet Ang and Jonathan Eu gathering another group of C-suites now on their board director journeys. Among them, a business builder and global capital markets expert, a founder creating a next-generation digital banking experience, a real estate boss who believes in the transformative power of the built environment, a Who’s Who Legal Global Elite Thought Leader, and the APAC MD of the platform you’re reading this post on. It’s pretty clear there’s no shortage of women leaders reshaping and innovating in today’s business world. Yet data continues to show less women than men serve on company boards, even among the pool of first-time directors at listed firms. If one has the skills and capacity, how can they earn an appointment to a board? This was a key topic the group got into over delicious dim sum, and, as you might expect, conversation was candid and encouraging. Of course, we jotted notes to share: 💬 Authenticity (and passion) is essential for effective board service 💬 You don’t have to wait till you exit executive leadership to take on a board role 💬 One way to build foundation is by serving on the board of a non-profit 💬 Attend a programme designed to develop effective directors (SID, INSEAD) 💬 Just as a board search has to be targeted, any board opportunity must be carefully considered Thank you all for sharing your experiences! #boarddiversity #diverseleadership #womenonboards #boardofdirectors Feon Ang 洪雍华 | Caecilia Chu | Joycelyn Ong | Tan Kemmy | Vivien Yui

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change the world. In fact, it’s the only thing that ever has." Founding WIN: Women in Innovation has been an honor of a lifetime. As I reflect on the past decade, I am in awe of what a passionate and dedicated group of women, mostly volunteers, can accomplish. Across time zones, continents, and disciplines that drive innovation, we have tirelessly pursued our moonshot: a more equitable future, shaped by all of us. A future where women are in positions of influence and power to innovate groundbreaking products, services, and experiences that make the world a better place. It’s an understatement to say the building and scaling a nonprofit has not been easy. We have nearly shut down operations not once, but three times. And for an organization centered on genuine connection and in-person programming, the COVID pandemic presented an existential crisis. Yet, through it all, we persevered, pivoted, and refused to give up. Some say everything begins with a dream. For WIN, dreaming is what makes the journey magical. At the core of WIN is a fundamental belief that bigger tables, not separate ones, that include women are key to a generous future. The #WINAwards ceremony in New York marked a pivotal milestone. We are a global force thanks to the visionary leadership of the team: CEO Amanda, Board Chair Edwina Fitzmaurice, Kit Krugman, Melissa Beight, Zoia Kozakov, Sabrina Romviel, Ariba Jahan, Maribeth G., Dave Garcia, Ren Rigby, Depika Koria, Jess Mireau, Lindsay Liu, Lizzie Azzolino, Stef Hoffman, Katie Burwick, Sascha Donn and many others. The best way to predict the future is to build it. And founding moment is always now (thank you Francis Pedraza for this beautiful wisdom). Join our movement. https://lnkd.in/g23Wht53
