2024 kick off at GS2 💪 Last Monday, I hosted our 2024 kick off for our growing team. We had a great afternoon comprising off… 𝐈𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞: To set the scene for communication - Articulate never fails! 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤: Some pre work by all meant we could work on and create our values - more to come on this! 𝐐𝟏 𝐎𝐊𝐑’𝐬: Aligning both a top down and bottom up approach, we discussed our KR’s and which initiatives the teams could collaborate on. Great to see the ownership and accountability grow! 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬: Highlighting individual success and contribution - more to come on this also! 🥇 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Looking forward and painting a picture of our future, sharing career development criteria and setting ambitious moonshot targets 🌎 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥: Finishing with some (mainly non alcoholic) drinks at our local 🍾 I believe transparency is key to a successful business, along with having great people who are aligned with the vision and who can execute the strategy. At GS2 we are so lucky to have the people, which makes it easy for me, to be transparent and open about our future direction as I know we will make it happen. Can’t wait to see where we take these next 12 months! Lets GO 🚀 🚀

Is it better to try for a promotion at your current job, or move up a level elsewhere? This is a question we've all asked ourselves. On the one hand: the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. There's a good case for staying at your company because you're already familiar with the people, culture, systems, and product. But on the other hand: you could go elsewhere and reinvent yourself. New people at a new company haven't seen you grow over time. You could bust through the doors and more easily be 'the new you'. But do you know what both of these scenarios have in common? You must be able to showcase your value. Some of us are comfortable doing this, others might struggle.
