Principles of #Feminist Conversational Spaces #Participatorydesign currently operates within a man-made system that has excluded diverse voices for far too long. This is why critically challenging the system itself is the first step toward feminist participation systems. Internalized misogyny and patriarchal structures often shape how #women express themselves, engage, and share their ideas. This is why transforming participation systems is essential to ensuring true feminist engagement and representation. https://lnkd.in/dhtVCVsF

I recently attended the workshop “Integrating Intersectionality in Policymaking” and found it incredibly insightful. I highly recommend it to both professionals and the general public as a great introduction to the concept of intersectionality. Intersectionality is often overlooked in policymaking, where separate policies are created for different identities. The reality is far more complex. Many marginalized identities intersect within individuals, and policies need to reflect these overlapping structures. Deja Petty is an eloquent and knowledgeable speaker, making the workshop engaging and easy to follow. A big thanks to Politics4Her for creating the space to connect with peers who are working to ensure that no one is left behind. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for more workshops or webinars that help gender and feminist advocates, as well as professionals, continue these important discussions. #Politics4Her #Feminism #Intersectionality #Policymaking
WORKSHOP RECAP: INTEGRATING INTERSECTIONALITY IN POLICYMAKING On October 16th, we brought together advocates, activists, and academics to dive into the complexities of intersectionality and how it can shape more inclusive policy decisions. The discussions were rich with insights on how layered identities influence the lived experiences of women and other marginalized groups, and the critical need to reflect this in policy frameworks. Led by intersectional feminist Deja petty , the session emphasized the importance of recognizing both oppression and privilege in our efforts to drive social change. Thank you to everyone who joined us! Let’s keep working toward policies that leave no one behind. #Politics4her#Intersectionality #PolicyMaking #InclusiveChange #Feminism

This week's post about equality vs. identical in the context of the feminist movement, feminism and the feminine - touched something deep in many of you ( link below ). The conversations, shares, and even the disagreements showed how this resonates with our collective journey. Thank you for engaging so openly. I understand why this perspective might feel triggering for some. For generations, survival has been our primary mode - fighting for basic rights, for recognition, for a seat at the table. That fight was necessary. It got us here. But now that we're here, I wonder: Could we write a different story? Perhaps true power lies not in proving we can do everything the same way, but in bringing our unique strengths to create something new altogether. Maybe the next chapter isn't about survival, but about thriving - about finding ways to live and lead that bring more ease, more vitality, more wholeness to all. As we head into the weekend, I invite you to sit with this: What becomes possible when we move beyond survival mode? What new ways of being could we discover? Here's to exploring these questions together. #FridayThoughts #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #Feminism #NewParadigm #WeekendReflection https://lnkd.in/gMZ2-spn

🌐 Reimagining Workplaces with Empathy and Technology Technology isn't just about efficiency. It's about humanity. Here's how AI can transform workplace empathy: 1. AI's Role in Connection Smart systems detect communication patterns. Identifies when empathy is needed. Suggests ways to bridge gaps. Humanizes digital interactions. 2. Breaking Down Barriers AI spots gender bias in language. Flags exclusionary practices. Recommends inclusive alternatives. Creates equal opportunities. 3. Mental Health Support 24/7 wellness monitoring. Early stress detection. Personalized support suggestions. Private, judgment-free guidance. 4. Empathy at Scale Automated yet personal check-ins. Cultural sensitivity training. Real-time feedback on interactions. Building stronger teams globally. I’m excited to speak on this very topic at an upcoming conference, where I’ll dive into how AI can support emotional and mental well-being while helping level the playing field in gender equality. Stay tuned for more insights from the Women & Justice Summit, where I’ll be joining other thought leaders to share on these transformative topics! https://lnkd.in/echXH-JX

"Let's talk about it: the impact of patriarchal attitudes on women's success. Marathe's recent remarks have ignited a crucial conversation. They shed light on how deeply ingrained patriarchal norms still are in our society. In patriarchal settings, a woman's achievements often trigger anxiety among those who adhere to traditional gender roles. Why does success for women make some people uncomfortable? It's because it challenges the status quo, threatening established power dynamics. Marathe's comments highlight a framework designed to control and belittle women's achievements and autonomy. From policing women's clothing choices to questioning their educational pursuits, patriarchal structures aim to limit women's agency and bolster male dominance. Let's delve deeper into this issue and discuss how we can dismantle these harmful norms. Join the conversation and share your thoughts on how we can create a more inclusive and equitable society."
