Let’s keep advocating for women in leadership—because when women have a voice at the table, we all benefit. 🌟 #WomenInLeadership #Empowerment #InclusiveLeadership

Wow! I really did not see this coming so quickly! Congratulations to all. When I joined the Agency in 2009, we had 28% women in Nuclear Security. Nuclear Security seems to still be the area where parity is the hardest to achieve. So, the news that IAEA now has reached 48% is quite amazing. The statistics on higher management are currently not available to me. That’s where the gap got progressively larger, the higher up the ladder. I take the time to appreciate the process. Just as I read social media posts stating that we are the last generation to know what it was like to live before social media, so I become more and more aware of the process of change. A recent UPF event <https://lnkd.in/dGCPjrtE> looked at birthrates as an economic issue. It led me to think that our current challenges in technological change may be just a hiatus phenomenon. As the populations age, the tendency to develop and change will decline. We are living the change and often not aware of its significance. Yes, women are populating the world stage. The next most important question will be: are they mothers? Are we fulfilling the generational contract? Are we providing for our posterity? Are we contributing to sustainable development?
Celebrating the Agency's progress towards #GenderParity today! Coming from less than 30% women at the end of 2019, the Agency's achievement of 48% women at the end of last month is evidence of what happens when a clear vision meets with dedication and teamwork. Many thanks to #GenderChampion Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi for his transformative leadership in these years. https://lnkd.in/dpAMj8aJ

Changing the world through one great leader & business challenge at a time. Leadership Development Expert
Thank you Jennifer Reynolds and Julie Daum! Diversity is not only a good governance practice, it’s a great risk managment practice as well. A rich and diverse board with a mix of tenures as well, is more likely to ask “why”, and dig in, in ways that a more homogeneous board might not; and that might just mitigate some of the spectacular spirals, like those we witnessed in 2023. #boardroomdiversity #boardgovernance #riskmanagement #leadershipmatters #SpencerStuartSiliconValley&Austin

"The question is, 'Did the dynamics in the boardroom really change?' Did you really bring on diverse voices and ask them to perhaps add to the discussion in a way that you weren't having discussions in the boardroom in the past, and are their perspectives welcomed, or are they trying to fit into the boardroom?" Jennifer Reynolds, WCD's CEO, shares her insights on diversity in the boardroom with Spencer Stuart in their latest podcast here: https://lnkd.in/e5RCTAN
