The fervor of the 90s might be gone, but Independence Day has become a cherished break from work, classes, and daily routines. Yeah! It's a National Holiday for a reason, but it’s important to remember the deeper significance behind this day: Historical Lessons: We must remember that our past was marked by external forces creating division to rule us. Bravery in Adversity: This day commemorates the courage we displayed during the darkest hours of our struggle for freedom. Unity is Strength: We achieved independence not alone, but together; unity was our strength. Freedom’s Price: Freedom is not handed to us; it is fought for and won through sacrifice. Embrace Our Heritage: Indigenous goods like Khadi and Bajra were essential to our survival and should be preserved and celebrated. Learn from History: Understanding our past is crucial to avoid repeating its mistakes. Thank you for your continued support. Wishing you all a meaningful and happy Independence Day!

Bhartiya Swatantrata Diwas ki Shubhkaamnayen Today, we are all celebrating India's 78th Independence Day. Yes, we are living in a free country. But are we free? We need to be free from all the mental bondages. As Indians, we will become completely free if we have a positive mindset with flexible thinking. We need to respect others's points of view. We need to be compassionate towards others's feelings. We must be kind to ourselves and others, including all living beings. We must respect people of different religions, castes, cultures, beliefs, races, colours, and creeds. If we become this way, then we will be free in a real sense. Happy Independence Day!

Recipient of following awards Most Inspiring Personality Award-2023 2023' National iconic personality in authorship and creative writing" at Atal Samman Sammelan 2023 National Gallantry Award
Anger of an individual has no meaning, when discussing the biggest human tragedy of last century. This infact is most insensitive word 1947 partition should have been considered anger of the aggrieved bisected & wounded nation. Truth is that Gandhi & Nehru were planted by the British as leaders of hindus, to partition India. Else there were many tall leaders during those times also. I'm of considered opinion that a divided nation, which doesn't know it's historical blunders, & it's real role models, is a weak & vulnerable nation. An ignorant nation is always twice in danger of defeat & degradation. Britishers & Mughals had always the dirty intention towards hindus, to keep them ignorant, intimidated & impoverished, and that's why they used Gandhi & Nehru to further weaken India. In fact they set up a trap with the help of wide awake Nehru & sleeping Gandhi & cunning Jinnah. The unethical partition authored by the trio, put a question mark on the future of surviving Hindus, which on insistence of Gandhi, allowed muslims to stay back, inspite of their killing our near dears, snatching our ancestral lands, homes etc. Time bomb laid by this trio, beneath the hindu nation, need no further evidence that Gandhi consented to partition India. A lot of land was surrendered unconditionally to establish a separate Islamic State, exclusively for the muslims living in India, & Gandhi had approved this. Mr Jinnah & his AIML wanted the areas with muslim majority to be sliced off from India to establish Pakistan. But when the muslims living in the rest of the country also rushed to live in Pakistan, their high Treason was not confined to the muslims in those areas only, but to all muslims As per Jinnah, during 1946 direct action call "Hindus have to be exterminated in order to make houses available to the incoming Muslims" And the manner in which they were forced out needs a book to write details of individuals slaughtered, girls & women abducted & raped & converted, millions forced to flee, & the destruction of temples & homes as collateral damage. But inspite of 1946-48, hindu holocaust, at muslim majority Pakistan, Gandhi insisted that muslims shud be permitted to stay in India. Gandhi & Gandhians cudn't dare to challenge d bogus & absurd Partition, due to autocratic & ruthless dictator JLN after he deleted the words “Democracy and Partition” from his vocabulary but called it “Independence”! If it was Independence then what happened to Karachi, Lahore & East Bengal? What patriotism is this to throw those areas out of mind and say, “India got Independence in 1947!” No Sir, It was part of India that got freedom and not our near dears, who were murdered and whose all possessions were looted by Jinnahites. Therefore You are wrongly glorifying Gandhi. Be honest We appeal to the Hindu nation, “Be brave. Show patriotism. Designate August 14 as the Day of MOURNING, and designate August 15 as the independence Day of the 2/3 India only with Delhi as capital.
When I was a kid, I thought my father was a super hero. When I became a teenager, I realized that he was human after all! The pendulum swung the other way & magnified his human flaws. When I became an adult, I realised that this flawed man was actually amongst the top 3 people who loved me unconditionally. That's when I really grew up! The same is true for the father of my nation! Over the past few years, the pendulum has swung so hard on Mohandas Karamchandhi Gandhi that today, he is considered to be a villain of India's past. From being the man "most responsible for getting us our freedom", he has become "most responsible for the mess we are in." From being a Mahatma, he has become a 'Brit agent'. His countrymen cringe to call him Gandhi 'Ji' anymore. It is sad, because the truth is somewhere in between. Was M.K.Gandhi solely responsible for India's freedom? No. But did he have no role to play? He did. He democratized the freedom struggle and made it a mass movement of every Indian, not just a few lawyers in Delhi & Bombay. Is he more valuable to our freedom struggle than Bhagat Singh or Subhash Bose? No. But now that we have realized others have not been as recognized, should we vilify him? No! Why? Because it is ungrateful. Did he contribute even 1% to our independence? If yes, gratitude is warranted. He had a vision of how a free, independent India should be. Things didn't turn out that way. He failed. As much as anyone else in the country, he paid the price. He took a bullet. But does that mean I turn him into an social media troll? Have I not failed enough times in my life? Am I perfect? What then gives me the right to judge him? To me, Gandhiji is still the father of the nation. My respect for him has not come down an inch, simply because I have suddenly begun to respect others. Gandhi ji's message of peace & non-violence is more relevant today than ever before. Here is its trailer! https://lnkd.in/dcjHnJ48 As the trailer begins, Martin Luther King says Gandhi Ji was his inspiration. Whether we crave for external validation, or not, Martin Luther King & Nelson Mandela were sworn followers of Gandhian principles. Happy 75th Republic day India 🇮🇳 We become a sovereign nation today but we still have a long way to go towards having equal rights for everyone, 1 nation 1 rule and equal opportunities for all castes without special reservation for anyone. Then we will be truly free from the poison of colonization. Today we have a conjunction of Mars and Mercury at 21° of Sagittarius in Purva Ashadha nakshatra. Mars and Mercury are considered enemy planets as Mars is all about power, courage, aggression, fighting for a cause, single point focus on task and moving forward with passion. Mercury is about communication, research, mind games, tact, logic, analysis, gathering more information. Their basic nature is different, while one wants to move forward quickly and do the work, the other wants to stay put and gather more information. When they come together you may feel this same pull and push within your self. You may feel more passion and aggression in your communication, mental agility and sharpness, enthusiasm, decisiveness, focused mind, good argumentative skills, quick response and quick temper. This is happening in the sign and degree of Jupiter which is in the sign of Mars, giving you wisdom, power and passion. Purva Ashadha is ruled by Venus giving the blessings of both Gurus. If you stand up for any good cause with love you will get victory. Pay attention and be aware if you feel energy or anger building up inside you as it may blast anytime. Channel that anger and energy for a good cause, take up a fight for the oppressed and harrassed, do physical exercise or work, or do mental work like crossword or puzzles, instead of speaking, write your thoughts down and leave it, you can still post it at a later date if you feel it's right. You may also be at the receiving end of rude or harsh behaviour, threats, intimidation, etc from others. Choose your battles wisely but stand up for your self if you are right. Drink lots of water to keep yourself cool and hydrated. Meditate and do breathwork to keep your mind and body cool. What shadow side may come up during this time? The lower shadow side needs to be converted to upper light attribute. Please zoom and read. https://lnkd.in/dF_tqTvz

Today the Greek community celebrates Greek Independence Day, also known as Greek National Day, to commemorate the beginning of the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. My Dad was born in Greece and came to the UK in the early 70s to escape the military junta, a right-wing military dictatorship that ruled Greece from 1967 to 1974. He then met my Mum in a Wimpy 😆 and hit it off straight away! Here are some fun facts about Greece: 1️⃣ Birthplace of Democracy: Greece is often referred to as the cradle of Western civilisation, being the birthplace of democracy. The ancient Athenian democracy laid the foundation for modern political systems. 2️⃣ Home of the Olympics: The Olympic Games originated in ancient Greece and were held every four years in Olympia from 776 BC to 393 AD. The modern Olympic Games, revived in 1896, were inspired by this ancient tradition. 3️⃣ Island Paradise: With over 6,000 islands and islets scattered across the Aegean and Ionian Seas, Greece boasts some of the most stunning island landscapes in the world. 4️⃣ Olive Oil Capital: Greece is the third-largest producer of olive oil in the world. 5️⃣ It's all Greek to me: Greek has no singular letter for the sound 'b' or 'd'. Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Greeks, half-Greeks (like myself), quarter-Greeks (like my son), and everyone who feels Greek at heart. #GreekIndependenceDay #Greece #ProudtobeGreek
