We want more UFO videos in 2025. As of 2023, NUFORC (National UFO Reporting Center), has reported over 150,000 UFO sightings in the U.S. since it started keeping records in the 1970s. The U.S. government published a report in 2021, stating that between 2004 and 2021, they had investigated 144 UAP incidents reported by military personnel. Only one of these sightings could be definitively explained, and no evidence was found to suggest extraterrestrial origins. UFO sightings in the United States have been a subject of public and governmental interest for decades. Yesterday #TheIPCompany participated in the annual Professor Kooy Symposium, an event organized in collaboration with TNO, NVDO, Mars & Mercurius, NLR and APA. This year, the focus was on the "Smart Defense Industry'," with an emphasis on accelerating innovation and production in this sector. Speakers such as #BartGroothuis, Member of the European Parliament, and distinguished executives from the defense industry came together to discuss technological advancements and developments. The message for the Defense industry was: In light of global dynamics, it's imperative to prioritise local and European-based production. Moreover, the urgency of modern threats demands that the Ministry of Defense expedite procurement processes to avoid technological disadvantages against potential anemies. This short article summarizes a key initiative we are undertaking in Military Medicine -- mapping our data into a Common Data Model (CDM). One of the greatest challenges when analyzing enterprise data from different healthcare sources is data consistency. By leveraging a CDM, we aim to reduce the variance in many of our enterprise metrics and measures while increasing consistency and reproducibility across many reports. If you are an analyst or researcher using data from the Military Health System, generating reports, conducting health surveillance, or managing patient cohorts (e.g. registries), please consider getting involved in this effort. “Tactical War Scientists” totally need to become a Company/Battalion level asset on the modern battlefield. I’ve been following the evolution of defense innovation in Ukraine, and there are legitimate “Macgyver style” soldiers that are pseudo tactical war scientists, iterating on capabilities on the front lines—building dependable steampunk’esque contraptions to survive the next day. It’s incredible. It’s such a critical role that requires unbiased information capture and the deep knowledge of a specific theater to simultaneously predict outcomes and manipulate the current reality of the conflict by continuously evolving capabilities in real time. It’s more than understanding software technologies—it’s understanding radiofrequency, materials, and so many other rugged/realistic things that can be manipulated and turned into capabilities close to the fight, without solely depending on complex logistics and R&D. Thank you Eisenhower School for visiting Swedish Defence University last week. In the frame of the Cooperation Agreement between Swedish Defence University and US National Defense University we invited Swedish colleagues to meet the C4ISR Industry Study Class. Industries Studies Class is the capstone experience at the Eisenhower School. The students are focused on a facet of the global industrial and innovation base, including the environment and climate, land, maritime, air, space, and this one on the C4ISR Industry. The research question for this year’s C4ISR Industry Study is, how can government, industry, and academia improve combined/joint warfighter situational awareness, decisions, and effectiveness through improved information, intelligence, integration, and interoperability in a secure and resilient way? 🚀 Decision Systems wins $196,875.72 award from the Department of Defense, Department of the Army! 💸 This STTR Phase I award is for passive ranging in low-light conditions using fused electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) multi-view imaging. The goal is to improve the accuracy and reliability of object detection in challenging environments. 🔍 The award is part of the Small Technology Transfer Research Program (STTR) and will last for 0.42 years, starting from April 23, 2024, and ending on October 22, 2024. Is the Army going to space? Sort of. The creation of the Space Force hasn't sidelined the Army. Instead, it's spurred the Army to adapt and define its own role in the final frontier. 🚀 The Army is carving out its niche in space by "integrating joint space capabilities and interdicting or disrupting adversaries’ use of space for hostile purposes", which will be carried out by Multidomain Task Forces (MDTFs). In short, the Army will work towards integrating the space domain to assist their ground operations- could this be a model for the other services?
