Bring Your Child to Work Day at The GIANT Company Support Office was entertaining, to say the least. As part of the kids' full day of fun activities, we asked them on camera what their parent does at GIANT. Check out a few of their responses. 😂
Well I know what he does here so he told me that he helps with the sweet and salty snacks. She works here. Press 1 button. He makes money. Look at numbers all day.
While a week of rain in Arkansas might not be ideal, it's a great opportunity to explore alternative activities and boost team morale! https://lnkd.in/eKh-hHfC
Sharing the Sunshine (Even When it's Raining):
Looks like Arkansas is in for a week of wet weather. But fear not, fellow professionals! Here are some ideas to keep your spirits high and your team productive during this rainy stretch:
Embrace Indoor Activities: Team-building exercises, brainstorming sessions, or even a movie afternoon in the office can foster collaboration and a positive atmosphere.
Plan Virtual Events: Connect with colleagues or clients remotely through video conferences, webinars, or online workshops.
Catch Up and Learn: Use the extra indoor time for professional development - online courses, reading industry publications, or knowledge-sharing sessions within your team.
Highlight Local Gems: Support local businesses by ordering takeout from nearby restaurants or planning a virtual tour of a museum or art gallery in your area.
Spreading the Positivity:

Bluebells as far as the eyes can see in the woods at the mo!
very much enjoying lunchtime walks with my friends even if my poor feet disagree...if your feet are in good nick make sure you take good care of them.
Bad, painful feet are no joke, even though the name of my issue is laughable 'Sausage toe 🌭' mmm sounds good 🤣
Lunchtime walks in the woods are also fab as they give me time away from my desk, a good chat, fresh air and I feel more focused once I'm back ...winning 🥇
Back to client work now then adding my monthly goal tasks to my calendar so I do them and keep on track for this months goals

Julie always brings networking events to life afterwards and perfectly captures the moments.
Networking for me was never something I embraced until this year. My first group I joined was ConnectED in Edinburgh, hosted by Sandy Cullen. It is a warm, welcoming group of people with an opportunity to chat and share your business in a relaxed way. I love hearing about everyone else's business and their passion for what they do. Networking has given me a much needed social side to my business that was lacking, working on my own at a desk can be isolating and sometimes a bit too easy to do. Meeting other solo entrepreneurs is inspiring and makes me feel less alone. I always gain a pearl of wisdom. Today I spoke with Julie 🎬 Neilson and Saul Garrett about videos for social media and both gave me some great advice about how to tackle scheduling video posts. I wanted to attend Julie's workshop on the 17th of June but the date doesn't work. The next one I am definitely attending. Presenting to audiences in person is different to presenting on social media and Julie's course would be invaluable for me. Look into it if you are wanting to explore videos on social media.
The event is early, 8:30am and I ate an early breakfast so after the event I went for a coffee to reflect on the morning. I was hungry but I chose not to have a cake, I did think about a scone, they looked good but then decided I did not need it as lunch was waiting for me when I returned home. Many people would have said: just have the scone but I had no need for it, I enjoyed the coffee and my lunch was going to be soon. I am able to do this because I eat protein and fat with carbohydrates and I don't rely on sugar for energy, appetite, reward or making me feel better. If you struggle with saying no to the cake download my free ebook on my web site to battle the sugar habits. https://lnkd.in/eHt4xehw, scroll down the home page to find it.
Are you new to networking? Do you have an approach that works best? Do you struggle with saying no to the cake?
🎬 Getting ConnectED! 🎬
🎬 Shhh, don't tell anyone but I'm not really an early morning person! (Although that's finally changing a bit after years of getting the kids up for school!)
🎬 But there's always a warm welcome from Sandy Cullen at ConnectED on Tuesday mornings!
🎬 Big thanks to Alice Nisbet for sharing her pre-holiday checklist, which looks very helpful!
🎬 And it was lovely to meet and chat with Saul GarrettNatasha AlonziJenny Robson and Tracyann Kneen
🎬 Looking forward to the next one!
🎬 So, are you a morning or an evening person?!

"You've got a fun job - always out of office..."
(someone recently told me)
truth is...
it's true, it's fun.
But here’s what most don’t see
That 1 day on set is just the tip of the iceberg.
Before we even get there, we spend about 4/6 weeks at the office grinding it out:
-Dreaming up creative concepts and treatments,
-Pitching these ideas to clients,
-Finding the perfect cast, scouting locations, organising the crew, and gathering all the gear,
-Making sure everything is spot on for the shoot,
-and THEN, only then, comes the 12-hour, out of office, shooting day/s,
-followed by more time back at the desk to edit, colour and master sound.
We've got a system down with 54 detailed steps
that take us from start to finish on a client’s project.
It's meticulous, it’s hard work, but man, is it rewarding.
Why?
Because seeing our clients succeed and benefit from what
we create together is seriously the best part.
So next time you spot us on our socials - “having fun” on set,
just remember all the weeks of prep and post-work that go into that one exhilarating day,
all for a couple of seconds long video :)
so!
got a video ad on your to-do list?
and want to join in on the fun?
DM me and we'll get the conversation started.

A clean desk is a clean life.
I can tell exactly how my life is going by the look of my desk.
If my desk is messy, disorganized or cluttered, I can guarantee you that my life reflects the same confusion and chaos.
That's why I evaluate my physical space weekly, to ensure that it's clean and clear.
Because when things are messy, there is no space for new possibility to arise.
It's not just my desk either.
I can notice misalignment in my life, by the way I dress, if I miss a morning shave, or the way I relate to others.
Our external environment is a mirror for our thoughts.
The end of the year is the perfect time to do inventory of our environment and kick off the new year free from any clutter that's been collected.
Take a second to clean up and organize your desk this morning and watch what happens.
