💥 New Material Alert💥 Carbon launched a new material called EPX 150 late last year. We were impressed with its ability to withstand 200+ autoclave cycles without degradation, but we felt it could handle even more. So we tested again, breaking the test machine after 430 cycles, and EPX 150 still showed no significant degradation in mechanical performance or change in visual appearance, such as surface yellowing or cracking. After those 400+ cycles, it still passed the cytotoxicity tests per ISO 10993-5. If you work with sterilizable products, consider EPX 150 for your next application. SK functional polymer (SKFP) is a provider of Lotader® recycling agents used to compatibilize plastics blends and improve their mechanical properties. #Recycled PA can be contaminated with #polyethylene (PE). The PE contamination, can affect some mechanical properties of polyamides. SKFP provides a functional resin like Lotader® 3410, to control the polyamide-polyethylene blend performance. This terpolymer has a high ethylene and MAH contents, respectively compatible with PE and PA. It can be added to #PA6, #PA6,6 or #PA12 at different loading to significantly increase the impact resistance and the compatibility with PE to meet virgin compounds specifications.
