July is Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. As we observe Mental Health Awareness Month, we honor Bebe Moore Campbell, a trailblazing author and advocate who worked tirelessly to end stigma and support mental health in minoritized communities. Mental health impacts everyone, yet many still lack access to crucial support and resources. Stigma, shame, and healthcare inequity continue to be significant barriers preventing individuals from seeking the help they need. As professionals and community members, we have a responsibility to carry forward Campbell's legacy by: 1. Raising awareness about mental health disparities 2. Promoting culturally competent care 3. Advocating for equitable access to mental health resources 4. Challenging stigma in our workplaces and communities NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) provides valuable resources for those looking to make a difference. I encourage you to visit their website to learn how you can participate in Mental Health Awareness Month and contribute to this important cause: https://lnkd.in/gKPUgPX Together, we can create a world where everyone, regardless of background, feels empowered to prioritize their mental wellbeing. Let's use our professional networks and platforms to amplify this message and drive positive change. #ShadesofMentalHealth #BebeMoorelegacy #TheHarrisCenter

Today, World Mental Health Day, is an opportunity for people, teams, and communities to come together in their commitment to improved mental health for all. This year’s theme, ‘Mental health is a universal human right” is intended to help to educate, raise awareness and drive action that promotes and protects everyone’s mental health. Every individual has the potential to create ripples of change that can resonate throughout a community or organization. In the context of mental health advocacy at work, for example, this means standing up and asking for your own mental health needs and rights, and in doing so, shifting the dynamics and culture of the entire workplace. My organization, Here, continues its commitment to changing minds about mental health. Below are three ways to join movement in changing minds: ✉ Sign up for our (weekly'ish) newsletter delivering resources and the latest on mental health 💻 Follow on Instagram and Linkedin (Here) 🧠 Check out and share our training, resources, and consulting services All linked in comments.
