Our new report, ‘PWDA’s response to the Disability Royal Commission Final Report’, outlines 19 policy positions and the changes we want to see in response to our Royal Commission.   Change that will ensure a future free from violence.   Change that delivers a future that is fully inclusive.   Change that will see people with disability use their voice at tables where decisions are being made that affect our lives.   Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/g6TRdiJ5

To be a good human is to grasp each and everything Haben Girma is speaking on. Be intentional when interacting with anyone that identifies as having a disability. Exude patience and authentic understanding. Not having a disability is not a ticket to be ignorant to others accommodations. Just like you take an interest in learning culture, new languages or new subjects we can do the same in this area.

Super important reminder to consider your viewers with disabilities when creating media for mass consumption. I am a big proponent of adding accurate, timely, and when possible, emotive subtitles / captions for any video being broadcast or uploaded to YouTube.
