Here are some ways we spread gratitude, celebrate each other, and create a sense of community and belonging at Acuity Insights. 🌮 Giving Tacos. Our Taco channel on Slack, powered by HeyTaco, is a space where our team members recognize each other throughout the day with shoutouts and messages of appreciation that include taco emojis. 🥂 Giving Cheers. On Fridays, team members meet on Zoom to give cheers to peers. That means we raise our glass (or cup or bottle) collectively in real time to share the small and big impacts people and teams made that week. 🎂 + 🌮 Cake Days & Taco Days: These sweet & savoury annual social events are when we gather together—in person or virtually—to eat tacos and cake to celebrate our team and our biggest wins of the year. Day 8/12 - Back to the Basics: Radical Gratitude Imagine this: the next customer you get is a soldier returning from deployment, choosing your business as their first stop in needing a service. How would you treat them? How would you empower your team to celebrate their sacrifice? How would you ensure their family felt taken care of in the delivery of the service, when they feared they might never see their loved one again? Hospitality, and indeed all guest service, thrives on the front line. A single interaction can define a patron’s entire experience, leaving a lasting impression—good or bad. To cultivate a workforce that embraces the power of their roles, we’ve embraced a concept called Radical Gratitude. We began our training by watching homecoming videos together, and many tears were shed. This exercise fostered a unified sense of purpose and ignited a deep pride in the work we do. Radical Gratitude is about making every guest feel valued. It's a reminder that our work goes beyond transactions; it's about making meaningful connections. It’s about demonstrating that they matter to us, and we are profoundly grateful to be at their service. Team Appreciation: A time to celebrate your team as a whole! 🎉Celebrate their hustle, dedication, perseverance, and most of all celebrate their DIVERSITY! 🎊Two weeks ago we had Team Appreciation Week! 🥳 I asked the team if they wanted one theme or multi theme week. They chose Multi theme. 🦸🏽♀️Monday we Celebrated our Dynamic Team during Dynamic Duo Day! 🦸🏽♀️We dressed up in Dynamic teams and had some lunch together. 🥪 💎Tuesday we celebrated our Vineyard Place Treasures through treasure hunts. The team dressed as pirates and they completely treasure hunts by guessing what Team Member was being described in a worksheet made for them. I complied some team members favorite items and the team had to talk to each other to figure out who was being described. 🏴☠️ 🤝Wednesday we celebrated Unity through Diversity! 🌏 We wore clothing that represents our cultural backyards and shared some treats with each other. 🍰 👩🏽🎤 Thursday we celebrated our Rockstars! We dressed as Rockstars and ate some lunch! 👩🏽🎤 🏆 Friday we had our first ever MET GALA awards. Weeks prior team members voted on each other for select categories. Some categories were Best smile, Best signer, Motivator, etc. We handed out certificates and Awards. 🎫🎟️We also handed out Raffle tickets throughout the week for those who participated in the week's activities. Our families donated many prizes for our team which were given out during this time.
