ADNOC seals long-term gas deal to supply LNG to Germany’s SEFE for upcoming export facility Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has signed a long-term contract for liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply with EFE Marketing & Trading Singapore, a subsidiary of Germany's SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH. The agreement spans 15 years and entails ADNOC Group providing one million metric tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG to SEFE. LNG deliveries to the German entity are slated to commence in 2028, coinciding with the initiation of the facility's commercial operations. This venture is anticipated to significantly augment ADNOC's LNG production in Ruwais, raising it to approximately 15 million tons per annum from its current 6 million tons. ADNOC's executive vice president of downstream business management, Fatema Al Nuaimi, expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of gas in Germany's energy landscape. Al Nuaimi highlighted ADNOC's commitment to bolstering Germany's energy security and diversifying its energy sources. However, ADNOC clarified that the agreement's execution is contingent upon several factors, including a final investment decision (FID) on the project, regulatory approvals, and the negotiation of a definitive sale and purchase agreement between the two entities. Furthermore, ADNOC underscored the significance of this LNG supply agreement in reinforcing the Energy Security and Industry Accelerator (ESIA) agreement inked by the UAE and Germany in 2022. This move is envisioned to fortify bilateral cooperation in ensuring energy security. In a recent development, ADNOC announced its intention to construct its second LNG terminal in Al Ruwais, deviating from its initial plan to establish the facility in Fujairah. This decision underscores ADNOC's strategic initiatives to expand its LNG infrastructure and enhance its global presence in the LNG market. 🇦🇪 🇩🇪 #energysecurity #securityofsupply #strategy #natgas #lng #fsru #lngshipping #energymarkets #commodities #oilandgas #shale #energy #finance #riskmanagement #maritimeindustry #shipping #energystrong

#Pertamina and local oil and gas operator #Conrad Asia Energy have agreed to work together to unlock the potential of two of Conrad’s offshore gas licences in the clountry’s Aceh region. In a landmark memorandum of understanding (MoU), the two companies agreed to drive forward the commercialisation of these resources, which is integral to Indonesia's strategy to meet its energy needs. Central to this pact is Conrad Asia's commitment to provide gas or liquefied natural gas and to develop the necessary infrastructure for the gas discoveries in its Offshore North West Aceh (Meulaboh) (ONWA) and Offshore South West Aceh (Singkil) (OSWA) production sharing contracts. This year, Conrad said it plans to acquire 3D seismic data over the cluster of discovered resources in ONWA to better understand the size of these resources and potentially identify new prospects.

Well done. Natural Gas is vital to meeting the worlds climate change objectives and will continue to have a vital role for decades.
Congratulations to the ADNOC team. Last week, ADNOC announced the signing of a long-term heads of agreement with Osaka Gas for the delivery of up to 0.8 million metric tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Ruwais LNG project. The LNG will primarily be sourced from ADNOC’s lower-carbon Ruwais LNG project, the first LNG export facility in the Middle East and Africa region to run on clean power, making it one of the lowest-carbon intensity LNG plants in the world. This is great news for the UAE, our customers, and ADNOC L&S - moving gas, needs ships. #adnoc #energyforlife #shipping #logistics https://lnkd.in/dsKtWv8v

UAE LNG Alert! ADNOC Group has awarded interests in the low-carbon Ruwais LNG project, which reached FID in June this year, to Shell, bp, TotalEnergies and Mitsui & Co., Ltd.. The companies will each hold a 10% stake, with ADNOC retaining 60%. The 9.6 MMtpa LNG facility, which will more than double the UAE’s capacity to 15 MMtpa, is set to come onstream in 2028. Establishing feedstock for the project remains critical, with numerous gas developments in the country including Bab gas cap, Ruwais Diyab, Shah sour gas and Ghasha ultra-sour in the pipeline. With ADNOC holding more than its usual 60% interest in many of these projects, we may see stakeholders from Ruwais LNG look to also acquire a related upstream position.
