When Zeus panicked and fled as #HurricaneHelene hit his home, his loving family feared the worst. He survived the storm, but when they finally found him, he was in horrific shape—covered in dried blood and suffering from open wounds filled with maggots. His family rushed him to our temporary emergency vet clinic, and we took him to a hospital where it was discovered that Zeus had been attacked by another animal and shot by an unknown person. We didn’t know if he would survive, but he continues to beat the odds. Zeus has a long road to recovery but he’s not giving up. We’re not giving up.
