Imagine being able to jump higher than Michael Jordan and react faster than an MLB batter. For the best athletes in the world, they do this daily. I'm not talking about baseball or basketball or football. I'm talking about volleyball. As a former volleyball player, I am biased, but hear me out on this. - Jumping --> Players are touching well over 12 feet with some players touching 12 and a half feet. They are literally jumping higher than Michael Jordan ever did! - Power --> Players are hitting the ball well over 80 mph. A player yesterday in the Olympics hit it 87 mph. While slower than the average speed of MLB pitches of 92 mph, a volleyball weighs almost twice and is almost three times bigger than a baseball. - Reaction time --> Those playing defense in volleyball have roughly .30 seconds. An MLB batter has .40 seconds to react to a pitch. The speed of volleyball is insane! There are so many other skills that are hard to measure like agility, balance, and coordination but are all required to play volleyball at a high level. CTA - If you're still skeptical, watch some men's volleyball this Olympics. Additionally, look up highlights of Wilfredo Leon. The stuff these guys are doing is insane! #volleyball #olympics #sports

I am a huge ice hockey fan and love watching and playing. I recently saw a statistic that only approximately 14% of players who have ever played have won a Stanley Cup. ONLY 14%!!!! Does that mean that there are 86% of NHL players that are failures? I am sure that there are many out there that would feel that way (after all, championships mean everything right?). I view it in that there are 86% that were able to make a career playing a game that they love - and that is a win to me. There are soo many different ways to measure success; remember that shiny trophies, big titles, and fame are not the only way. Don't let the world or others define your success.

Director of Agency Operations at Next Level Athletics Group Aiming to become the youngest NHLPA Certified Agent Clients from U15 to QMJHL/Junior across North America
Next Level Athletics Group client Liam Duquette put on a show for th Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Junior Hockey League this past weekend. The heavily favoured Capitals travelled to Yarmouth to take on the Mariners in games three and four of their best-of-seven series which was tied 1-1. The Mariners were in a strong position to dictate how the remaining games unfolded in the series, however Summerside showed up and went to work. Rookie Liam Duquette was a big factor in Summerside winning games three and four 4-1 and 3-1 respectfully. In game three, Duquette set the tone for game four in the dying moments by taking on Mariners forward Jared Pitman in a scrap as tensions continued to rise on the ice sheet. Duquette made out quite well in that fight, as seen in one of the videos attached to this post. In game four, with Duquette well aware that he would have to answer the bell for his antics in game three, did just that only thirty-one seconds in by burying a lose puck in front of the net to give the Capitals an early 1-0 lead. See his goal in the other video below. Liam continues to prove everyone wrong as his unprecedented late-blooming development has seen him rise from the NSU16 hockey league all the way to being a key bottom six forward on one of the top Junior A teams in the country, in less than a calendar year. Liam's ability to adapt to a new role, ability to contribute either through his physicality, solid defensive play, and elite offensive IQ, is what has fuelled this rise in opportunity, and what will likely fuel his continued success as he climbs the ranks in the hockey world. I have been very vocal about how I started representing Liam, and how he really found me if I'm being honest. I pinched myself a lot recently regarding Dukes, especially watching him become a big playoff player last weekend. For all inquiries regarding Liam and all NLA clients, please contact me: nick@nextlevelathleticsgroup.com. #hockey #nextlevel #jra #summerside #capitals #mhl #qmjhl #prospect
