This marks The IFT’s fifth annual report, offering key insights into business distress and turnaround trends across the UK. Key points include: 🔹 Business distress rose nearly 10% this year, with a 60% increase since 2017. 🔹 Despite challenges, IFT members added £3.1 billion in shareholder value and safeguarded 56,000 jobs in 2024. 🔹 Looking ahead, 78% of members anticipate growth in turnaround activity by 2025. The report dives into pressing issues like debt servicing, funding challenges, and sector-specific impacts in construction and consumer-facing industries.
