The Sicilian superyacht disaster proves one thing – that where once we did collective sympathy so well, human tragedy now seems to bring out the worst in us, says Claire Cohen

Stay vigilant: Positive paranoia is our survival mechanism in a cruel world In today's world filled with alarming news about climate change, inequality, russian fascism, and perceived racism, we must remain cautious and on high alert. Threats could be lurking just around the corner, with dangerous sociopaths surrounding us like wolves among sheep. Even when paranoia occasionally subsides, it inevitably resurfaces with a vengeance, like a ball held underwater that's finally released. Predators easily give themselves away through unusual, incompatible behavior and subtle hints. Any sudden, clownish movements immediately draw attention and put us on edge. So don't underestimate the importance of positive paranoia. It could save your life in this cruel world filled with threats and dangerous individuals. Always stay vigilant and trust your intuition. Safety comes first! Use positive paranoia! #paranoia #selfpreservation #stayvigilant #intuition #dangerousworld #sociopaths #crimeprevention #personalsafety #personaldevelopment #strategy #staysafe #dotyk

𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 On the 7th of October, the world changed irrevocably. Over 38,000 lives were brutally taken, each a testament to the senseless violence that humanity is capable of. This day marked the beginning of a dark chapter in history, one that stripped away the veneer of safety and exposed the stark reality of our world. The impact of that day is clear. The promise of peace, the hope for a better future, and the belief in human goodness all dimmed in the face of overwhelming loss. The shine of many things faded as the weight of this tragedy settled in. What is most disheartening is the world's response. Despite the magnitude of the genocide, real, decisive action remains absent. The international community's inaction reveals an ugliness we can no longer ignore. It is a stark reminder that in the face of atrocity, silence and complacency can be just as devastating as violence. The events of 7th October demand that we reflect on our shared humanity and the responsibilities we bear towards one another. This is a call to action, urging us to rise above indifference and work collectively to prevent such horrors from ever happening again. We must remember the victims not just in our thoughts and prayers, but in our actions. We must strive to rebuild what was lost, to restore hope, and to create a world where justice and compassion triumph over brutality and apathy.

There is no comparing levels of acts against humanity, no saying that this begets that. No matter what excuses may be given the people are being killed by the many thousands through traumatic injury, illness or starvation. There may be a fine line to say some war crimes are instead ethnic cleansing or are acts against humanity. I would hope no non-marginalized adult would argue any are okay or any less atrocious. I’m not comfortable nor will I ever be to not raise my voice when I see a such destruction of humans and see others applauding. I’m not naive to the negotiations going on in the background, to the attempts to keep doors open, to find a way to avoid an implosion of region as a whole. However I’m not okay to remain silent and not state out loud that this is beyond unacceptable in our modern day world. This must stop. Our happy days of summer and our safe world continues but that has a cost. One day it will be us if we continue like this. Excuses, some of which are 70 years old, 2000 years old or 1 year old have to stop. Political economic warfare has to stop. Showing that lives have no value, rules have no value, only wealth and hidden agendas, and actions fueling hate have value has to stop.

CEO & Founder of the Authentic Leaders Institute, creating authentic leaders capable of leading us forward
Every second counts, for the horrific cost to the innocent becomes greater every moment. Murder and starvation continues unabated by those who have left the path of humanity. Now we stand on the edge of a full blown conflict in the Middle East. All watching and waiting to see what acts of madness await by those who have already destroyed their own countries, consigning Israel as a land built on the blood of children and the innocent and its supporters to targets of terror. If this conflict widens, it will not be those waging it from their reinforced bunkers or luxury offices creating more horror but the unprotected innocent who once again must pay. This unquestionable, unjust and inexcusable horror is the price that must be taken for following the wrong path. Each child given a chance at life, is a gift to our humanity. A creative force like no other, the possibilities and potential are endless. Yet many will never achieve what they could have become, their lives taken in predetermined massacre and horror, in a world still unable to understand the simple concept of the effect of time. They are not borne into our past, we own that alone. A world fighting itself based on the past is the definition of insanity. The only thing that exists is now, we can and must take decisions now to end this horror. Our life’s mission should aim to achieve justice for those that live now, for all, whether your killers are the distorted or hunger. None should suffer anymore, because we can change. Silence is not an option, for we are watching horror being expanded, how long before it reaches your door. #notinmyname #endthismadnessnow #evolutionoverrevolution

🪬✨Back in 1932, Aldous Huxley had significant things to say about the moral degradation of world societies… ✍️In his dystopian novel “BRAVE NEW WORLD”, he made important predictions about the moral decay of modern societies and enlightening us about our so called New World Order we’re desperately trying to live in today… 🪬✨ Here are some of his brilliant insights from this visionary book👇 ‼️🌎 “The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal !… Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does !…” ‼️🌍 “The perfect dictatorship would have the appearance of a democracy, but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping !… It would essentially be a system of slavery where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitude!…” ✍️🕊️In these quotes, Huxley highlights how modern societies are dulled by mindless consumption and corrupting entertainment, leading them to drift away from moral and human values… ✍️🕊️He points out that although people believe they are free, they are, in fact, being manipulated into a kind of “voluntary slavery and servitude... 🪬🕊️✨If you decide to recognize and break free from the chains that have made you a slave to this corrupt system, you must read this book… For those who don’t have the habit of reading, I highly recommend watching the TV series below at the very least.” #FreeWorldinPeace 🌍 #BrandNewWorld 🌎

An insightful reflection by Louise Callaghan of The Times on conflict. The take-away for me, reflecting my own #crisismanagement experience is that; whatever the nature of the crisis, innocent people are affected, people’s ingenuity and resolve are the basis of solutions and people’s intransigence is the main barrier to solutions. #humanfactors https://lnkd.in/ewcTqE75

Thought: Are we in the twenty-first century? The killing, destruction, and violation of all human standards that are happening do not suggest the existence of any kind of civilization, progress, or civilization. Rather, it is not correct to say that we are human beings. Is it possible that the entire world does not dare to stop these massacres that are occurring, and for what? And why? The situation is similar to the presence of a gang that punishes anyone who stands in its way, either by killing or starvation. No one dares to stand up to it. This gang spreads corruption, killing, and destruction in the place and time it wants. Sometimes it strikes in the north, and sometimes it strikes in the south. The question that arises is how long will we remain silent, as if we are watching an action movie and waiting for its end, or is there someone who benefits from killing, starvation, and testing the latest weapons on the ground? Isn't it time for the world to wake up from its strange slumber?

Facts matter. Basic historical facts prove the Palestinian cause agenda to eliminate Israel, not to create a Palestinian state alongside Israel. Basic financial facts prove that the Palestinian cause is incredibly wealthy with billionaire leaders worth over $11 billion in personal assets stollen from humanitarian funds and high taxes on the masses they strategically force to remain poor refugees in their own cities they and their parents were born in. Basic facts show the savage crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Palestinians for decades. Their “pay for slay” program sponsored by the Palestinian Authority paying their citizens to mrdr Jews, the go pro footage of their gleeful torture of Israelis and many others in Israel on October 7 and the crowds of cheering Gazans beating and celebrating the abduction of humans de*d and alive. Yet still, world leaders try to bully Israel to provide these savages with fuel while they are still firing rockets into Israel and food they are stealing straight to the terror tunnels and selling for a profit at their markets while our hostages starve without even a Red Cross visit. We clearly cannot rely on anyone to defend our right to exist, to bring our hostages home. The injustice and barbaric consequences are intolerable. #standwithIsrael #factsmatter #bringthemhome

Amazing insight into the psychological torture Hamas use in addition to their physical brutality on an after October the 7th, and the aftermath for the hostages and in this case one of the soldiers who rescued these two old guys (who clearly were a danger to the Palestinians so Hamas kidnapped them, as they did the very dangerous teenage girls). For those who don't speak such good English I am being sarcastic which yes I know is not cool but since so few have the guts to speak up for hostages I will. I still cannot understand the people who want to leave Hamas in power (an extraordinary mix of Jew hating anti-Semitics and well meaning people who would normally be anti Jew hating anti-Semitics...its a question for psychologists). A Hamas who did not attack right wing settlers (who are also crazy in my books) but the most left of the left peaceniks hippy types living close to Gaza because many of them (like I did) believed (also in the past tense as Hamas has destroyed that) a two state solution. We were wrong. The difference was they died and were kidnapped. Those of us who watched Arafat and Rabin shake hands 30 years ago thought there was finally a chance for peace owe those peaceful people respect so I speak up because it is the right thing to do. The fastest way for a ceasefire since the beginning was always and still is to release the hostages...something lost on the those who support a ceasefire which would leave Hamas in power and vowing to repeat October 7th. For all their lies that is the one thing we know we can believe. A ceasefire would be like a plane flying only 80% of the way to its destination. When that happens usually everyone dies. Get the hostages free, land the metaphoric airplane in a safe place and then try to figure out a way of the mess with sensible peace loving people.

Disturbing video alert. Consider this is 2040 or 2050. You are walking with your grandkid(s) and they ask you, what were you doing when the Gaza genocide was taking place right before your eyes... What would you say? What are your excuses? What do you say to your conscience every day? Do you even have one alive and ticking? You'll scroll through the history of your social media to find happy selfies, celebrations during festive seasons, dining and holidaying when 41,000 civilians were brutally butchered, including over 25% children. What excuse do you have? This video has caught my attention. It's quite appealing but it has several flaws. Can you guess a few? If you don't want to, let me do it for you. Firstly, by 2040 the American big tech that controls our lives will surely obliterate all memories of the brutal genocide to ensure Israel can be portrayed as a 'victim'—an eternal victim. Secondly, the minds of the next generations will be so well washed with detergents of distraction that they won't realise what's the bigger picture. They may not even ask questions because that can be labelled as a cardinal sin in the future set up under the West. Finally, do you think that the West cares a lemon about Palestinian martyrs that they will dedicate memorials and parks for them like this surreal video? No, Palestinian people aren't white people. They don't get memorials or plaques or even a decent grave for that matter. The West wants to obliterate the fact that there existed a Palestine that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been forced to an exodus by colonial occupiers. That West won't show the world the crimes that they were complicit in. But in an ideal world—which doesn't exist—the West should've been tried for its crimes against humanity along with Israel because on its own, the Zionists are nothing unless supported by the US-led collective West. The future can be like this as well provided the bloc led by powers that seek a multipolar world, especially by countries of the Global South, manage to end the hegemony of the West both economically and socio-politically from the world. In a multipolar world, which won't be perfect either, we can call a spade a spade and acknowledge a genocide. And there lies the difference. What do you choose for yourself? To live under American hegemony? Or to assert your freedom like a free human being? The choice is yours, but keep your answers for the future generations ready because multipolar world is a reality and your next generations will ask you: What were you doing during the Gaza genocide? #Gaza #GazaGenocide #StopGenocide #Palestine #PalestinianLivesMatter #Israel #Zionist #FreePalestine
