Based on cardiology textbooks content, cardiac rehabilitation covers 1-2% of total volume. Just margin... Not at all! Exercise physiology and the interpretation of cardiopulmonary tests alone are enough extensive to write huge textbooks. I am afraid that the marginalization of this field by the cardiac community is primarily due to ignorance/ lack of knowledge ("I don't know anything about it, so I don't explore it") and the lack of financial prospects ("why do I need something that I can't make money on"). Just writing a referral to cardiac rehab department , seems to be a challenge to undertake. Until we understand the essence of cardiovascular prevention and we experience immediate (in just a few weeks) improvements in physical performance by up to 10 years or more, the popularization of cardiac rehabilitation will be ineffective.

Check out in the Journal of American College of Cardiology: Clinical Electrophysiology our new article demonstrated that the use of ablation within the rhythm control arm was linearly associated with the reduced risk of CV death (P=0.02), all-cause death (P=0.01), and HHF (P=0.03)!
