#OurStateFarm can help you turn your #retail experience into #entrepreneurship! See State Farm Agent James Anhorn's story below. Wouldn't you like to be a #GoodNeighbor too? #careeropportunity #careermove #careerchange James Anhorn, MBA
With previous experience in retail, James Anhorn has always enjoyed helping people find the right solution for their needs. When a recruiter contacted James about becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent, he knew this career was the perfect fit. "The two most important things in my life are my family and being a State Farm agent. My beautiful wife, Grissel, and I have two boys — thanks to the agent opportunity, we now have the flexibility to visit our families in the United States and Mexico any time, something I wasn't able to do working in retail." In addition to the flexibility, James values the benefits of the community-centric lifestyle the agent opportunity provides to him and his family. "Educating customers about the importance of proper insurance coverage has been a huge blessing, and I'm grateful I can be involved in the community with my boys by my side. I get to set an example and show them what being a Good Neighbor looks like — I hope to continue this for many years to come!" The story of how we 14X’d an insurance agency in less than 4 months. The task? Grow an insurance agency. We knew nothing about insurance. But everything about growing a sales team. How did we do it? Let’s start with what we didn’t do. 🚫 cold email. 🚫 recruiting firm. 🚫 A.I. 🚫 reliance on social media. Here’s where we focused. ✅ Getting the current team to believe we could. ☑️ Built a vision and told everyone we could. ✅ Get the current team making more money. ☑️ Communicated that story to everyone. ✅ Focused on two things: culture & opportunity. Then… We hosted IN-PERSON hiring events. My partner and I hosted them in the office. We told the story. We showed them the culture. Brutal honesty about the easy and the hard. What happened? 🔻Outgrew our 5,000 sq/ft office in 2 months. 🔺Moved to a 25,000 sq/ft facility. 🏘️ 14x’d agent count. 📈 6X’d issued business. 💸 Gave opportunity to great sales people. 🧑✈️ Developed future leaders. Let’s share more experiences we’ve had. And maybe a couple less infographics. And tiny bit less A.I generated watered down 🤮 Share your wins. I’m also going to share my losses. P.S - What about you? _______________________________ Want Help? https://lnkd.in/eFwDjB2p contact@makesalesgreatagain.com #sales #growth #business #team #scale #insuranceagency #opportunity #culture #msga #makesalesgreatagain #thebiskie Todd Speciale

President, CIA | Building an independent business with a powerful team of member-owners and treasured employees | Servant leader
In PropertyCasualty360 recently, New York Life's Vincent Spaniolo, was asked about the skills needed for those wanting to enter the insurance industry. “They [applicants] have to have some sales experience,” says Spaniolo. “Ideally, some entrepreneurial experience, and they have to be pretty fluent with technology..” That certainly tracks with what we’re looking for in qualified candidates. Sales is all about listening. Entrepreneurship is finding hidden opportunities and going after them full force. Tech fluency? That’s table stakes. If you’ve got some sales chops, entrepreneurial savvy, and tech fluency, and you’re considering a career in insurance, give us a holler.
