We were delighted that JR Scaffold was recognised at the Warmer Homes Scotland Subcontractors Awards recently, coming highly commended in the Warmworks Values Award for Teamwork. We have a long-standing partnership with Warmworks, building strong relationships with their contractors and supporting hundreds of their energy efficiency installations on homes every single month. We were praised for a particular example which saw us respond to concerns from a Warmworks customer that scaffolding had perhaps come loose during bad weather following a solar panel and battery installation on their property in Caithness. The scaffolding was found to be safe and secure, but we ensured that we spoke with the customer promptly and worked with our extensive network to arrange for a local engineer to visit the property as urgently as possible, and then subsequently removed the scaffolding for them. Our team will always go above and beyond to ensure that each project is executed to an excellent standard and that we promptly deal with any queries, but it is heart-warming to see the impact these small interactions can have, not just for our partners, but also for their customers. Teamwork, efficiency, problem solving are all at the heart of the business so it is wonderful to have this recognition from Warmworks and just goes to show how going the extra mile can leave a lasting impression. #scaffolding #subcontractor #Scotland #energyefficiency

Where are you getting your information from? It’s easy to take things at face value, but not everything you hear about construction choices is the whole truth. Here’s a fact to consider: Many contractors who push for scaffolding solutions also own the scaffolding companies themselves. It’s a clear conflict of interest that can cost you time, money, and safety. At BFT Mastclimbing, we believe in transparency. Mastclimbers offer a safer, smarter alternative – free from hidden agendas. It’s about making the best choice for your project, your team, and your bottom line. Don’t let misinformation guide your decisions. Get the facts, and choose safety and efficiency every time. #BuildSmart #ChooseSafety #Mastclimbers

Ensuring safety when using scaffolds is crucial, with specific key requirements to follow: - **Capacity**: Each scaffold and its components must support their weight plus four times the maximum intended load (D + 4*L) without any failures. Overloading must be avoided to preserve the scaffold's structural integrity. In terms of planks and platforms: - The span should be the shortest distance required to support the platform's weight and four times the maximum intended load. For platform units: - Deflection should not exceed 1/60th of the span length under concentrated or uniformly distributed loads. Adhering strictly to these guidelines is vital to guarantee the safety and stability of scaffolds during their use. buildingdreams #constructionlife #safetyfirst #teamwork #raisethebar #workinprogress #efficiencyiskey #scaffoldingsolutions #reachingnewheights #skyisthelimit #ConstructionSafety #BuildingProjects #OnsiteWork #IndustrialScaffolding #ElevatedPlatforms #WorksiteSolutions #SupportStructures #HeightSafety #ConstructionIndustry #BuildingMaintenance #ConstructionScaffolding #BuildingSafety #WorkAtHeight #ConstructionIndustry #OnsiteSafety #FallProtection #IndustrialSafety #JobSite #SafetyFirst #ScaffoldPlatforms #energysector #oilandgasindustry #petroleumengineering #offshoredrilling #naturalgasproduction #fuelingtheworld #energyresources #oilrigs #gasexploration #energybusiness #energyindustry #oilandgasexploration #naturalresources #petroleumengineering #energysector #oilandgasindustry #fuelingthefuture #energybusiness #oilandgasjobs #energyinnovation #oilandgasindustry #energysector #petroleumengineering #fuelresources #naturalgasproduction #offshoredrilling #energyexploration #fossilfuelindustry #oilfieldoperations #energybusiness

Note: It is the excavator’s responsibility to visually expose the cable or pipe manually by using hand tools before any construction begins. This is usually completed using the potholing technique and by following the relevant utilities’ instructions. Utilities will provide contact details for further assistance. #damageprevention #safedigging #contractors #utility #worksafe #construction #underground #constructionindustry #safetyfirst #safetyculture #workplacesafety #safetymanagement #assetprotection #infrastructure

In the construction industry, reaching new heights is a daily endeavor. But as we climb higher, the stakes become even greater. Any lapse in quality or safety can lead to dire consequences that can jeopardize the project and the lives of those working on it. That's why, when you're climbing high, reliability is not merely an asset. It's a necessity. At KC Scaffold, we understand the critical nature of reliability in your construction projects. We don’t just offer scaffolding; we offer peace of mind. Each component we supply undergoes rigorous quality checks, ensuring that what we bring to your project site exceeds industry standards. #scaffolding #scaffoldrental #kcscaffold #kcmo #kansascity #commercial #commercialconstruction #constructionsafety

Nothing is above safety on site, a thorough risk assessment must be done before making any decision. The risk assessment must not be on paper and for people to sign on to but it must reflect on site and show all the measure that are put in place to prevent any case that may expose site team to any form of danger. Let get everyone home safely. #lifeinconstruction
A video that's been making waves on social media, shedding light on a risk that's all too often overlooked in the UK construction industry: discharge of concrete. While I'd usually give my opinion on an incident like this, it wouldn't make a difference, but social media channels in the UK are full of similar incidents, some worse. This week, our Contract Services team were back on site with WB CIVIL & MECHANICAL LIMITED, completing the 5th grouting project on a decommissioned fuel line that once ran from Southampton to Heathrow. This time, we were at Brett Quarry in Staines, grout filling 152 metres of a decommissioned 10″ steel fuel line. Due to the sensitive nature of the underground fuel line—running under both a waterway and an industrial estate—grout filling was selected as the safest and most effective method for the job. Grout filling not only prevents future cracking and surface slump but also maintains the structural integrity of decommissioned pipes. Compared to alternatives like complete pipe removal or cathodic protection, it’s a far more cost-effective and efficient solution. Delivered as a Contract Service, our grout filling operations continue to set the standard for sealing large-diameter utility mains—whether for abandonment or insertion. With our specialised equipment, remote application and ability to adapt to unique site conditions, we’re proud to support critical infrastructure projects like this one. A huge well done to everyone involved in another successful project. 👏 If you'd like to know more about our grout filling solutions, feel free to reach out or visit our website 👉https://lnkd.in/enZi7Qdu #GroutFilling #PipelineDecommissioning #ContractServices #InfrastructureSolutions Mike Hall Natasha Wilkes Olivier Bloquet
